“You’re really going through with this?” I asked, looking at Hans from across the room.

He was calm, almost too calm, as he straightened his tie. “If it means taking Adrian down and giving you the
peace you want, yes.”
I let out a shaky breath, glancing out the window. The events of the past few days had pushed me into a corner. Adrian’s reach was far too extensive, and my resources couldn’t match his relentless pursuit. Being on my own wasn’t enough. Hans was my best chance–not just for protection but for victory.
“Fine,” I said, squaring my shoulders. “Let’s do it”

He Chest and Begged When 10 Late
Hans smirked, his confidence unwavering. “You won’t regret it.”
The next day, the headlines exploded with the news of our marriage plans. “Felicity Rose and Hans Ward: A Scandalous Union,” one article read, while another accused me of cheating on Adrian and faking my death to run off
with Hans.
The backlash was swift and vicious. Social media buzzed with speculation, and the public opinion turned ugly.
Some defended me, but many sided with Adrian, painting him as a victim
“It’s not affecting me,” Hans said when I voiced my concerns. “A few lost deals won’t bankrupt me. Adrian’s just enjoying the temporary spotlight.”
But I wasn’t as calm. I couldn’t let Adrian regain any ground, not when he was so close to being ruined. That’s
when I decided to take control of the narrative.
“We’ll hold a press conference,” I told Hans one evening.
He raised an eyebrow. “You sure? It’ll be messy.”
“It doesn’t matter,” I said firmly. “If I don’t speak up now, people will believe Adrian’s lies. I’ll clear my name and make our marriage official. Let’s end this.”
The day of the press conference arrived, and my nerves were a tangled mess. Hans stood by my side, his presence grounding me as we faced the sea of cameras and reporters.
I took a deep breath and stepped forward. “Thank you all for coming.” I began, my voice steady despite the anxiety bubbling inside me.
“I want to address the accusations made against me,” I said, meeting the reporters‘ eyes. “I have always been loyal to Adrian Rose. I didn’t cheat. I didn’t run away without reason. And I certainly didn’t harm their child. The lies being spread about me are nothing more than attempts to cover up the truth.”
I
Murmurs rippled through the room, but I pressed on. “Adrian and Carmela betrayed me. I faked my death. because I feared for my safety, and all I’ve wanted since then is a peaceful life. That’s why I’m moving forward and marrying Hans Ward, a man who has stood by me and supported me.”
Before I could say more, a loud commotion erupted at the back of the room. The crowd parted, and there she was
-Carmela.
Her hair was disheveled, her eyes wild. “You liar!” she screamed, pushing past security. “You killed my baby! You
destroyed everything!”
I stayed rooted in place as she stormed toward me, grabbing a fistful of my hair. The cameras were rolling. capturing every second of her meltdown.
“Carmela, stop!” I shouted, refusing to retaliate. This was my moment to turn the tide.
Security rushed forward, pulling her away as she thrashed and screamed. “You’ll pay for this, Felicity! You’ll
pay!”
I took a shaky breath, stepping back and pressing a hand to my chest. “This,” I said, my voice trembling for effect, *is why I wanted to disappear. Carmela is delusional and dangerous. I’ve tried to protect myself from her, but she
continues to harm me
The reporters ate it up, their cameras zooming in as tears welled in my eyes. “I don’t blame her for being unwell,” I continued “But she needs help. And I hope she gets it.”
The police finally dragged Carmela away, her screams echoing through the room. As soon as the cameras turned away, I wiped my fake tears and allowed a smirk to slip onto my face. Everything was going exactly as planned
The fallout was immediate. News outlets reported Carmela’s breakdown in real–time, and psychologists weighed in on her erratic behavior. Within days, it was announced that Carmela had been diagnosed with severe mental health issues and was being sent to a psychiatric facility for treatment.
He Creed and Begged When too Late
I hadn’t expected things to escalate so quickly, but I was plaining. With Carmela out of the picture, one
major obstacle was removed
But the real problem still remained
One evening, as Hans and I discussed our next steps, shouting erupted from outside the estate.
I froze, recognizing the voice instantly.
“Felicity!” Adrian’s voice boomed. “Come out and face me!”
