Chapter 8
After completing all the work, Shyla dragged her tired body back home.
Calvin beat her home and sat on the living room couch, When he saw her return, he called out to her.
“Stop!”
“Why did you go to work in such a place? Didn’t I give you money?”
Shyla stood at the entrance, changing her shoes, her tone flat.
Bored at home, with nothing to do, I decided to experience the diversity of life.
The anger on Calvin’s face diminished slightly, but his voice remained cold.
“Afterwards, you are not allowed to go to this kind of place again.
Shyla indeed did not need to go.
She nodded twice in response and went upstairs with her head down.
In the following days, Calvin hardly came back.
Rosa used to send her a lot of photos every day.
The ring, wedding photos, the wedding venue, and the bouquet, all revealed the happiness and joy of getting married.
Shyla did not reply to her, as she was busy packing her lugg–ES
On the third morning of the countdown, Shyla bumped into Calvin at the staircase as he was about to leave, and called out to him.

“Calvin, three days later, could you spare an hour to celebrate my birthday with me?”
She had been with him for so many years, and Shyla wanted to bid him a proper farewell.
In Calvin’s eyes, this sentence seemed like a provocation
Because in the past few years, every time it was her birthday, she would pull him aside and say those outrageous confessions of love.
So he refused without even thinking about it.
“I have told you many times, do not make such requests!”
She saw that he was angry again, so Shyla quickly explained a few sentences
“This time, I wouldn’t do anything to make you unhappy, nor would I contess like I did in the previous years. I just wanted…”
Say goodbye properly.
There was a distance between

two people, and her last few words were so faint that Calvin didn’t hear a single word.
He finally relaxed and nodded after hearing her say a few normal words.
On her birthday, Shyla waited from morning till night, but she still didn’t wait for Calvin.
As the departure time was approaching, she finally picked up her phone and made a call.
Ten seconds later, Rosa’s voice came through my ears.
“Hello? Calvin is taking a shower and is unable to answer the phone.”
Her tone carried an ambiguous meaning, causing Shyla’s heart to skip a beat.
She looked at her watch, her eyes filled with stubbornness.
“How much longer will he take to finish washing? I can wait for him to come out.”
There came a burst of laughter from the phone,
“Shyla, why did you have to do this? He was already taking a shower.”
“Truth be told, we are currently at a hotel. You’re an adult now, don’t you know what we’re going to do after taking a shower? Do really want to witness the whole thing? He’s your uncle, for goodness sake. Even if you like him, he’s getting married and you still won’t move out. You cling to him every day like this, must you be so shameless?”
The humiliating tone pierced Shyla’s heart like a needle.
She bit her lip tightly, preventing the tears from falling from the corners of her eyes.
Alter venting her emotions freely, Rosa hung up the phone directly.
Looking at the sentence “The other party has hung up” displayed on the screen, Shyla dejectedly put her hand down.
I don’t know how long it took, but she finally took out a candle from the box. The cream on the cake had melted a bit from the heat of the heater, and the “21” was inserted crookedly.
After lighting the candle, she bent down and blew it out, silently reciting in her mind.
Shyla’s 21st birthday wish, no longer was to be with Calvin forever.
But rather, she hopes he lives a long life, stays safe every year, and for the rest of his life, there will be no more her.
After saying that, she blew out the candle.
Finally, she cleared at

all traces of her existence and left behind three things in this place where she had lived for over a decade.
He returned all the nurturing favor by giving her a bank card with one hundred million.
A newlywed gift, wishing him to grow old with his beloved
And, as a farewell, one last sentent
“Calvin, I gave up. I wish you happiness.”
After putting down her pen, she picked up her suitcase and took one last look at this home
Turned around and left, without looking back
