Chapter 11
The security guard came and threw Nicole out along with all her belongings.
Jeffrey finally felt that the house had become much quieter.
He held a photo of a box and gently touched the words on it with his fingers.
Bella has been with the Castro family since she was little, even her handwriting was practiced stroke by stroke with his holding her
little band.
Bella, where were you exactly right now?
Jeffrey held the box containing the photos as if he were holding a priceless treasure.
“Bella, where were you exactly?”
Bella woke up from her dream.
Emma asked her, “Why do you look so pale? Did you have a nightmare?”
Bella just woke up as if from a dream.
Today, James and Emma took her out for dinner and introduced her to the editor–in–chief of a foreign magazine.
But the editor arrived late because she encountered something unexpected. She had been feeling restless for the past few days and ended up falling asleep on the couch
“Bella, here you go.”
In front of her, a clean and white big hand handed her a tissue.
Bella hesitated for a moment before taking it and said, “Thank you, Liam.”
She wiped the thin sweat off her forehead, still somewhat immersed in the dream she had just had.
Liam smiled and said, “Having a nightmare is okay, once you wake up, everything scary disappears. Here is Mr. Weber, Mrs. Weber, and they are all here with you.”
Emma deliberately teased him, “What else is there?”
“Moreover, moreover,” Liam chuckled awkwardly, pointing towards the sunshine outside, “there is such great weather. If you baskin the sun more, your mood will improve.”
Emma chuckled and didn’t explicitly say, “Okay, and the sun is also keeping Bella company.”
Liam’s face turned slightly red.
Sering Bella’s expression still a little unpleasant, Emma felt a bit worried for her. “Bella, you don’t have to be too nervous. This editor–in–chief is a nice person, very humorous and witty. He is also an old friend of Mr. Weber. He has seen your photography works before and was very satisfied with them.”
Bella nodded, “I knew, I dreamt about it.”
“What did you dream about?”
“I dreamt of the past.”
“What was there to be afraid of before? Your brother used to hold you in the palm of his hand and dote on you since you were little. That should have been a sweet dream, right?”
Bella didn’t know how to explain.
Liam, on the other hand, helped her out by saying, “No one lives in a honey far their whole life, Bella also has her own troubles.
“Oh really? Bella, does your brother really keep such a close eye on you? I think I heard Mr. Weber mention it before, but as parents and family, they are definitely all very concerned about their kids or siblings. Your brother is just too worried about you.”
Liam said, “Mrs. Weber, Bella was an Independent Individual. Let’s not always mention her brother.”
Emma was a bit curious, but seeing that Bella had already assumed, she nodded as well and said, “Alright, let’s not mention him then.”
Bella gave Liam a grateful look and said, “Thank you, Liam.
It wasn’t
that she couldn’t let go of Jeffrey.
From the moment she boarded the plane, she had made up her mind to let go.
But her life experiences were so vivid, almost inseparable from Jeffrey. No matter who it was, classmates, friends, teachers, they talked to her, they would almost inevitably mention Jeffrey to some extent.
I have to say, Liam understood her.
whenever
After leaving Jeffrey, she finally felt like an independent individual, no longer relying on another person for her emotions. She was completely free from any ties and only had a sense of liberation.
The editor arrived late.
He was indeed a very humorous middle–aged man. When he saw Bella for the first time, he said, “We seem to have met somewhere
before.”
Bella had already adjusted her emotions and fully immersed herself in this “interview“.
She smiled and said, “Sir, this approach of getting close to girls is a bit cliché.”
The editor laughed heartily, “Miss Bella, you are really amusing.”
“I was not only interesting, but my photography skills were also impressive”
Confident, generous, humorous, intelligent.
Without Jeffrey, she could still shine brightly on her own.
As
s she was about to leave, the editor–in–chief urged her to join the company: “Recently, our magazine has an exclusive interview, and the other party is quite influential. We are in need of a good photographer, Miss Bella, if you can, please come to the magazine office anytime.”
Bella agreed.
“By the way, what I just said wasn’t a pickup line, it seems like we have actually met somewhere before.”
Bella said, “I had just arrived in Merribridge not long ago, perhaps there was a girl who looked very similar to me.
The editor did not insist anymore, “Maybe.”
The editor sat in the car, racking his brain, trying to remember where he had last met Bella.
His driver asked, “Did you fall in love with this girl?”
The editor immediately retorted, “She is so much younger than me, I only consider her as my younger sister.”
Suddenly, the editor had a flash of inspiration and thought of something
“I remembered where I had met her!”
When Jeffrey received the call, he was communicating with Officer William.
”
A living person, who has been searched for so many days but hasn’t been found, Officer William advised him to prepare for the worst. But Jeffrey could not accept this fact.
Officer William’s statement was simple: “Miss Bella disappeared from your wedding. She didn’t bring any luggage, didn’t bring her wallet, didn’t bring anything. And it’s been such a long time, and the police haven’t received any distress calls from her. Mr. Castro, you need to be mentally prepared,‘
Jeffrey’s phone rang and he answered, “What’s up, Eric? I’m busy.”
“Jeffrey! I just saw your sister!”
