Chapter 32
Roy looked at the screen and was shocked to see a familiar face. “Regina?”
Preston, hearing his exclamation, snapped back to reality and looked at the screen, too.
Meanwhile, Regina used the sword to stop the bullets coming at her, growing more excited.
She thought, “This sword is so badass. I feel we’ve become one! The second I saw it on TV, I was obsessed with it. It seems I’ve got great taste.
Tiger’s lackeys were terrified and fled in all directions. “How’s she blocking our shots?!”
The exhausted security guards saw Regina coming and were to tell her to back off, but then they noticed the blue blood all over her black uniform.
They were terrified, thinking, ‘How many cyberwares did she cut off? She’s scarier than these gangsters!”
Regina didn’t slow down. She leaped into the fray, slashing at the gangsters like it was nothing.
Roy couldn’t believe his eyes as he gawked at her cutting off the men’s cyberwares.
Brad was dumbfounded. “It seems she showed Clive and me mercy when she beat us up today.”
Clive just sat there, speechless..
Preston panicked. “Land at Blackthorn Hospital! Now! There are so many gangsters, and she’s in danger! Go!”
Meanwhile, Steve’s phone was buzzing non–stop.
He was in the middle of a meeting. Noticing those several warnings on his phone screen, he frowned and picked his phone up.

Steve was stunned, thinking. I’ve just got her Humanity increased. And now, in the blink of an eye, it drops by four points?‘
He looked out of the window in shock.
Regina was like a bolt of lightning, shuttling between those beefy men.
The parents crouched in the corner, gawking at her.
Steve thought ‘Since when did the fight start?‘
He ordered the driver, “Land!”
Then he said to those people in the conference room, “I have to deal with something urgent. Go ahead with the meeting”
Meanwhile, in front of the hospital, a gangster, seeing that there was no way out, ran towards Adrian and stabbed him with a sword in desperation.
Roy had just hopped out of the floating car and caught it out of the corner of his eye. His face hardened as he triggered his cyberware, speeding up in a flash to intercept.
But before he could get there, another blade sliced through the air, snapping the gangster’s sword in half.
Roy’s cyverware was still activated, and everything in his eyes was happening slowly under its effect.
He noticed the blue veins popping on Regina’s hand, then her sharp profile as she stepped up.
She held a titanium sword and leisurely stood in front of him; meanwhile, she glanced at him casually.
Her speed was in sync with his accelerated speed!
Roy’s mind raced. ‘I’ve got a top–tier spinal accelerator–how’s she keeping up?”

Tilting her head, she smiled at him, “Neat, Roy. You’re pretty fast.”

His breathing paused a bit as he smelled the rich smell of blood on her, and it seemed to be mixed with blue cyberware liquid, or what they called “blue blood.”
The scent was terrible.
Right then, Regina’s grin and her casual comment slammed into Roy like a bat, leaving him dazed.
She didn’t miss a beat–kicked the gangster hard, then flung her sword like a dart.
The sword stabbed the man’s chest.
The man instantly fell to the ground and died.
Regina let out a quick breath, then shot a look at Tiger and the bald guy by the road. They looked like they’d seen a ghost.
In the next second, the two scrambled into their cars, pressed the accelerators hard, and fled away.
Police rolled up just in time, clocked them as the suspects, and split into two squads to chase them down.
The adults came back to their senses.
Jessica immediately looked at Regina. “Are you OK?”
Regina, catching her breath, glanced back. “You guys all good?”
Jessica nodded and said worriedly, “We’re fine. You protected us well. But you look so pale. Are you hurt?”
Preston sprinted over, grabbing Regina’s shoulders. “Are you okay? Did you get hit? What were you thinking, taking on those gangsters with just a sword? They’re freaking outlaws–don’t you get that?!”
