Chapter 39
The boys stared at their phones in shock.
Obviously, money worked on her, like a miracle.
Preston jumped up with joy. “Ha! I won. I got ten points!”
Roy was just speechless.
Xavier, eyeing his phone, seemed intrigued. “Her Humanity really increase with money?”
Finally, Steve, who had caught on to the trick, frowned and said, “How are you all seeing her Humanity? I didn’t grant you any access to Regina’s
points.”
Xavier ignored him and looked at Regina, thinking, ‘I can even max out her Humanity with money. So interesting.
Steve was still caught up in confusion and shock.
Roy snorted, pulled out his phone again, and made another transfer. He handed the phone to Regina once more.
Her eyes ballooned like she’d just won the lottery.
He’d transferred another 600 thousand!
Stunned, Regina turned to Roy.
Roy’s ears turned slightly pink as he looked away, keeping his face stern. “Double the money. I hope it makes you happy.”
Regina’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
Cheered up? She was over the moon!
She had never been happier in this life, and even the last one.
“Ding!”
[Regina Mitchell’s Humanity +15]
Preston scowled, shooting Roy a death glare.
Roy just tilted his chin up, smug as hell.
Brad, clutching his phone, gaped. “It’s still climbing? That’s almost normal–person levels now!”
The other boys jumped in one after another. “I want to try too. Let me add 20 points in one go!”
A boy raised his phone high. “Guys, I’m first. Watch how many points I can add!”
Preston stood up in a hurry and blocked them. “Don’t mess around. You guys have impure motives!”
Xavier snorted, brushing it off. “Maybe we’ve got shady reasons, but the cash is legit. She’s getting real money–what’s it to you?” Preston stood there, torn.
The others piled on, dripping sarcasm. “Yeah, dude, cash and people go together. Since when’s it your job to play gatekeepe?”
Preston froze, not knowing what to do.
Roy, shaking his head, leaned closer to Regina. “How do you feel now? Do you need me to call a doctor?”
Regina’s eyes were shining. She answered firmly, “I feel great!”
Roy blinked, caught off guard.
She grabbed his hand enthusiastically. “Honestly, being able to save your parents is the luckiest thing of my life! And being in the same school as you guys is even luckier!”
Her bright eyes mirrored Roy’s stunned face. “You’re all so cool to me. We’re totally gonna be tight from now on!”

Roy just stared, dumbfounded.
The chattering boys also froze, looking at Regina in shock.
Brad and Clive were both surprised.
She was this honest, almost unreal.
O
And it wasn’t just talk–Regina meant every word. “Don’t sweat it, guys. From here on out, you’ll see what top–tier service your money can buy! You won’t regret a dime.”
Roy was taken aback as his phone rang again.
[Regina Mitchell’s Humanity +20]
Roy’s face changed, and as he locked eyes with her serious gaze, he didn’t know how to respond.
Preston’s heart skipped a beat as he looked at Regina in surprise.
Steve, too, was completely captivated.
For the first time, Regina’s face glowed with this pure, youthful vibe.
It was like a sunflower lifting its head, basking in the sunlight, vibrant and dazzling.
Steve looked around.
Brad and Clive’s expressions were intriguing. They almost seemed like they wanted to transfer more.
The room fell silent.
Nobody wanted to mess with the warm, weird vibe hanging in the air.
But just then, someone knocked on the door. “Roy?”
Roy turned around.
A handsome boy stood outside the glass door, waving at him excitedly. “What a coincidence! What are you doing here?”
Regina turned her gaze to the voice, and her smile suddenly vanished.
The boy noticed her too, his face filled with surprise. “Regina?!”
Roy paused and turned to Regina. “You know Leonardo?”
Regina didn’t respond, her expression gradually turning cold as she stared at the boy through the glass door.
This was the person who, in her past life, had chosen to side with the Melinda when she was in danger.
He was her childhood sweetheart.
And he was supposed to be her confidant.
Yes, this guy, Leonardo Murphy.
The room erupted with a flood of phone alerts.
The boys picked up their phones, and their expressions shifted dramatically.
