The woman’s face darkened as she stared coldly at Harley. “Harley, you’re the eldest daughter of the family, and your sister is second in line. I am the world’s most decorated boxing champion. I forbid you from empathizing with some maggot from the slums!”
Without waiting for a response, she snatched the ice water from Zack’s hand and stormed into Regina’s hospital room. Then, she hurled the water viciously at her.
Regina had woken up when the door slammed open, but before she could fully register who entered, a bucket of ice water drenched her completely.
While she was still in a daze, someone grabbed her hair and yanked her off the bed.
“Get down!”
In that split second, Regina fell to the ground. Before she could regained her balance, she was immediately kicked, which caused a searing pain through the wound on her stomach.
Her assailant was clearly an expert fighter. In a flurry of blows, they delivered a stinging slap to her face.
“Who gave you the audacity to disrespect your father?”
The slap landed hard, ringing in her ears like a hammer.

Her consciousness gradually returned as she looked at the woman standing on her.
