Return of the Forsaken 80

Chapter 80

Regina watched them step into the elevator before heading home to rest

The house was enormous, yet it felt almost empty with only her inside. A vast emptiness wrapped in luxury, highlighting a profound sense of solitude

She stood in front of the mirror, hesitated for a moment, then lifted her shirt to reveal her stomach

The prosthetic was seamless, thanks to Stephen’s unmatched expertise. It looked and felt completely natural, leaving no trace it wasn’t real

The material was extraordinary, impossible to pierce yet soft and warm to the touch

Stephen had gone further, shielding her internal components to prevent detection by scans or hacking attempts

Mechanical organs, however, had their risks. If hackers discovered them, they could upload a virus to shut her down

But Stephen’s concealment system made that nearly impossible, even if someone detected the prosthetics, they wouldn’t have access to her core

systems

This innovative technology was exclusive to Stephen, no one else in the world could replicate it

Regina trusted him completely

It was no wonder so many sought him out

His work wasn’t just exceptional

And the best part? He didn’t even charge her a dime

Regina picked up her phone and jotted down a quick note in her planner

[I owe Stephen an abdominal prosthetic

www

Thinking it over, everyone who had helped her today deserved something in return. Good people were worth keeping close

She could offer special services in return for longterm benefits between them

Ding dong!”

The doorbell rang, pulling ber from her thoughts

She glanced at the video screen

Roy stood there, expressionless, holding a neatly wrapped gift

A small smile tugged at her lips

Looks like she was right, tonight wasn’t going to be boring

She opened the door and feigned surprise. You’re back? What’s the occasion?“

Roy’s cold expression didn’t waver as he looked at her. His tone was gil, almost detached. I heard you were living alone Figured you wouldn’t cook, so I brought you something

He paused and asked tentatively, What’s this? Not happy to see

Regina shook her head. No, I’m happy to see you

She had already made up her mind to go all out to serve her benefactors

Why not start now

She stepped aside and motioned for him to enter. Come on int

Roy hesitated for a moment, sensing her unexpected enthusiasm. Still, he walked in, a twinge of doubt lingering in his mind

This gaze swept over the space, it was a lavishly decorated apartment

Chapter 80

A staircase led to an upper floor, clearly showing she owned both levels, making the place feel vast and open

The air was filled with a light, pleasant fragrance

It was unmistakably Regina’s scent

She handed him a pair of new slippers. Here, these are brand new,”

Roy changed into them and casually said, I brought you some fruit and sandwiches. Where’s the kitchen?”

Regina stepped forward, trying to take the items from him. Let me handle it.”

He dodged her hands, firm but calm. I’ll do it

Startled, she pointed toward the kitchen. It’s over there.”

Without another word. Roy strode directly into the kitchen, leaving her standing there, puzzled

According to the records, Roy was the type to live in a mansion, waited on hand and foot, and never deal with trivial matters himself

Yet, here he was, carrying fruit to her door, unexpected, to say the least

Regina’s eyes lit up as she eagerly ran over. Do you need something from me?”

Roy paused midmotion, gave her a questioning look

She leaned casually against the kitchen bar, resting her chin on her hands with a playful smile. “Since you helped me today, just tell me need. I won’t say not

Look how committed she was

If the benefits were right, there was nothing Regina wouldn’t do

Encouraging him further, she flashed a deeper smile. Come on, I’ll agree to whatever you say.”

Roy didn’t respond

His sharp gaze bore into her, cutting through any pretense

Trying to return the favor, huh
