Chapter 3 Ungrateful
Yvonne had expected Shane to make a move.
Almost simultaneously as he raised his hand, she splashed half a glass of red wine in his face.
Shane, who was fuming,
suddenly inhaled the red wine and coughed violently.
“Shane!” Tricia hugged Shane tenderly, crying her heart out. “Yvonne is being so unreasonable. I told you to keep an eye on her. Look at what you’ve spoiled her into. She actually wants to give our house away to someone else!”
“Mom, don’t worry.”
Shane glared at Yvonne fiercely as if he wanted to skin her alive. “She doesn’t dare to give it away. I’ll teach her a lesson.”
How dare Yvonne stand up to him?
Three years ago, he might have had nothing, but now he was the president of Craig Group, and after tomorrow, the net worth of his company would multiply a hundredfold!
And Yvonne? She lost her mother when she was young and had a father who was in a vegetative state. She had no other relatives.
The money her father left behind had been used for his startup and was almost gone. After giving away the house, with her meager income, she couldn’t possibly support a person in a vegetative state.
So, he was convinced that she would beg him.
Yvonne rose from the sofa, put her phone in her pocket as if she hadn’t heard anything, and calmly put on her headphones.
“No matter how long you live in this house, it won’t become yours. But you have been ungrateful for too long.
As for Shane, you’re just a hypocritical scoundrel, a lecherous scum who openly sleeps with a mistress in front of his wife. You think you deserve to teach me a lesson?”
Shane was enraged and, having already torn off his mask, had no qualms. He immediately grabbed the wine bottle on the coffee table and pointed it
at Yvonne.
“Apologize to my mom!”
Yvonne ignored him.
“I’ll say it again, you…” Shane impatiently swung the wine bottle.
At this moment,
someone broke the door lock
With another loud bang,
the security door was forcibly opened.
Then, more than ten tall and burly men in black suits strode into the room in an orderly manner.
The sudden commotion scared Tricia into screaming, panicking and hiding behind Shane.
“Shane, there are burglars!”
Shane’s hand holding the wine bottle paused in mid–air.
This was a top–notch neighborhood in Fuilver, with imaginable security intensity.
So there was only one possibility.
That was, these were people Yvonne had hired to put on a show, and they had obtained permission to enter the neighborhood.
It seemed Yvonne had known about him and Maggie all along and was willing to spend money just to disgust him!
Among these men was a tall woman in a suit.
She was in her early twenties, with a slender waist and long legs, sporting a neat short haircut, and a beautiful face filled with coldness.
Seeing Shane wrapped only in a bath towel but with his hair dry, she knew exactly what was going on.
As she walked towards Yvonne, she said, “The moving company came to provide service, and they made a bit of a racket. Sorry about that!”
Shane sneered. “Yvonne, where did you hire these people from? Must have cost you a fortune, huh?”
Yvonne, wearing a smile, took a pair of white gloves from the short–haired woman and put them on slowly and gracefully.

She then turned and said, “Nadine, you can do whatever you want with the stuff in the house. Smash what needs to be smashed and throw out what needs to be thrown out.”
Nadine’s eyes lit up. “Alright!”
Seeing that, Tricia stomped anxiously, acting like a shrew to the fullest.
“You shrew! Are you trying to drive me to my death… You… You just try and touch my housel

Chapter 3 Ungrateful
Tricia’s antics left Nadine momentarily stunned.
Anyone who’d taken supplements knew how energizing they could be.
Ignoring Tricia, Nadine said to Yvonne, “Are you wearing those gloves to keep warm or what, since we’re the ones doing the work?”
Yvonne didn’t respond. After putting the gloves on, she clenched her fists to test the fit.
“Tell me, does it hurt more to hit someone with or without gloves?”
The answer evaded Nadine.
Seeing how serious Yvonne was, Nadine braced herself and answered, “It hurts your hand more without gloves.”
Before Nadine could finish her sentence–
A big SLAP was heard.
Yvonne smacked Shane across the face. “You’re wrong. It hurts the face either way.”
