Chapter 8:
Rebecca’s expression changed and she stepped forward, wrapping her arm around Jason’s and acting coquettishly
“Today is our wedding night, such a meaningful day. There’s no need to waste time on this kind of prank Jason, I’ve been walking around all day to welcome guests and my legs are sore. I just want to go home and rest. Can we go home now?
Jason glanced deeply at the bodyguard’s phone before finally choosing to go home with Rebecca.
As soon as they arrived home, Rebecca eagerly tried to be with Jason. She pulled him to the bedroom and was about to kiss him, but just as her lips were about to touch his, a large hand pushed her away.
Jason turned his face awkwardly, saying, “I smell like sweat, I’m too dirty. Let me take a shower first.”
Without waiting for Rebecca’s response, he turned and entered the bathroom.}
Rebecca stood there, her face darkened. How could she not see that Jason was avoiding any intimate contact with her? It must be
because of Karen.
Today was supposed to be her wedding, yet Jason’s mind was entirely occupied with her. This felt like a tremendous insult to her.
She shouldn’t have spared Karen. She should have drained every drop of blood from her and made sure she disappeared forever from
Jason’s world.
Two hours later, Jason leisurely walked out of the bathroom. When he saw Rebecca sitting on the bed, patiently waiting for him, his steps faltered and a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes
“Jason, do you usually take this long to shower? I almost fell asleep waiting for you,” Rebecca said with a smile, though there was a hint of complaint in her voice.
Jason pressed his lips together and said lightly, “It’s so late, aren’t you tired?”
Rebecca stood up, walked over and wrapped her arms around his waist, smiling sweetly, “I haven’t given my first time to you, Jason. I can’t bear to sleep 3
Jason’s body visibly stiffened and he awkwardly pushed the woman in his arms away. “Rebecca, I’m too tired today. How about tomorrow?
“Jason, is it because of Karen that you keep rejecting me? You still love her, don’t you?” Rebecca’s eyes instantly turned red, her gaze full of hurt as she looked at Jason
“She treated you like that, yet why can’t you let her go? If she knew you still loved her, who knows how she would mock you.”
Jason’s expression darkened in an instant and he nearly gritted his teeth as he retorted, “Who said I still love her? All I feel for her now is hatred. The more miserable she is, the happier I am.“2
Rebecca moved closer to Jason and tightly grasped his hand. “Then take me, Jason. As Karen’s younger sister, I know her very well. Since the day she became our family’s adopted daughter, she’s been trying to climb higher, always clinging to every man she meets. Over the years, she’s flirted with countless men, While you and your mother were suffering, she was busy trying to please other men…”
“Enough, Jason interrupted sharply.
Before she could finish speaking, Jason interrupted her, his fists clenched as if he had been deeply insulted. “Since I married you, of course I’ll fulfill my duties as a husband. It’s just sharing a bed, right? I’ll prorfuse you.
Hearing the answer she wanted, a glimmer of smugness flashed in Rebecca’s dyes. She leaned in to kiss Jason, but once again, he pulled her away.!!
Before she could ask, Jason spoke, “Before that, there’s something I need to do.”
He wanted Karen to personally deliver the set to them, to make her watch as he tangled with another woman. He wanted to return all the pain he had suffered over the years to her.}
With that thought, he took out his phone and dialed Karen’s number.
