Chapter 24

Jason panicked instantly. He grabbed Karen’s shoulders tightly, unwilling to accept her words. Karen, this can’t be true. You sacrificed so much for me, how could you just stop loving me? You must be saying this because you feel guilty about getting back together with me right after regaining your memories, right? This is about Yoel, isn’t it?”

Karen calmly pushed his hands away and firmly replied, No. I love Yoel because I truly love him, not out of guilt. I hope you can respect my choice

She felt that she had made herself clear enough. Surely, Jason would understand

With that, she turned to leave. But just as she took a step forward, he grabbed her wrist and forcefully pinned her against the wall

I don’t believe it! Karen, you’re lying to me. Do you have any idea how much I’ve missed you these past five years? Not a single day went by when I didn’t long to see you again. Even when reality told me you were gone, I still believed we would meet again. And then, by some miracle, fate brought you back to me. Karen, this is destiny, our destiny. Please, don’t go. Give us another chancel

Karen hadn’t expected Jason to be this persistent. She frowned deeply and said coldly. Jason, we are in the past. Let go of me. home.”

Jason shook his head, his eyes bloodshot as he stared at her. No, Karen, I won’t let you go. I want you by my side.“%

I’m going

He lowered his head, trying to kiss her lips. Karen turned away, but he firmly pinned her against the wall, preventing her from escaping. Just as his lips were about to touch hers, Yoel appeared.”

With a swift, powerful kick, he sent Jason sprawling onto the ground. Then, he immediately pulled Karen behind him, shielding her with his body

Jason, didn’t you hear her say it’s over between you two? Do you not understand her words?”

Seeing Yoel, the fire in Jason’s heart seemed to ignite even further, his eyes filled with murderous intent. He got up and strode toward Yoel, his voice cold and sharp. Yoel, you thief. You took advantage of the situation and stole Karen from me, making her fall in love with you. You deserve to die

As he spoke, he swung his fist toward Yoel

But Yoel, now unrestrained, had no intention of standing there and taking the hit. He easily dodged the punch and retaliated with a strong blow to Jason’s face

Within moments, the two men were locked in a fierce brawl in the hospital hallway

Karen tried to intervene, but the two were fighting too intensely for her to get between them. Seeing no other choice, she hurried to call for help

Finally, a few male nurses arrived and managed to separate therm

Jason and Yoel both had bruises on their faces, but Jason looked worse, blood was seeping from the corner of his mouth. He stared at Karen with a wounded expression, his voice almost pleading. Karen, are you really going to leave me? Without you, I can’t survive

Yoel bit his lip, glaring at Jason in anger. Can you stop clinging to her? If you truly love Karen, you should respect her choice.

Karen nodded in agreement with Yoel’s words. With a sigh of resignation, she looked at Jason and said gently but firmly. “Some things can’t go back to how they were just because you remember them. Jason, forget about me.”

Seeing Karen’s unwavering resolve, Jason finally understood that no matter how persistent he was, she would never go with him. The last glimmer of hope in his eyes shattered completely, leaving them dull and lifeless

Karen no longer wanted to concern herself with him. She turned and walked toward Yoel, taking his hand in hers and gently pulling him along

Let’s go. It’s time to go home.

Yoel looked down at their tightly clasped hands, a bright and contented smile spreading across his face. He firmly held her hand in return and strode forward, leading her away
