Chapter 15
Aubrie’s words were cutting to the heart.
Jovan trembled all over, keeping his head down and tightly clenching his fists.
He couldn’t argue back.
Behind her, Madam Hubbard came over angrily and demanded, “Jovan, what on earth is going on? How has my daughter Deni offended you that you keep hurting her one after another!”
After speaking, Madam Hubbard only then noticed the hearse parked beside her, with a corpse laid beside it.
Because it was already wrapped, Madam Hubbard didn’t know that Sarahi was inside. She just frowned with disgust and continued to ask Jovan, “I thought you were a good child, wanting to entrust Deni to you. You have really disappointed me!”
On the side, Aubrie sneered, “Stealing the husband of the eldest daughter for the youngest daughter, you really are a good mother.”
The irony in this statement was full.
Madam Hubbard’s face changed instantly. “You, I remember now, you are Sarahi’s friend, right? This is my family’s matter, what does it have to do with you?”
“What happened to Sarahi after all these days? She didn’t show up herself and let you make a scene here. Tell her for me, if she has the guts, she should die outside and never come back in her lifetime!”
Aubrie’s eyes were red with anger.
Then, turning to Jovan, he sneered through gritted teeth, “It seems you’ve been keeping quite a secret.”
Madam Hubbard did not understand the meaning of these words.
Denisse hurriedly came from behind and grabbed Madam Hubbard, wanting to take her away. “Mom, I don’t feel well, please help me back to rest.”
Madam Hubbard immediately lost all other thoughts and only wanted to take Denisse away.
Aubrie stopped him.
She stood in front of the two of them, puncturing Denisse’s false facade, “Are you in such a hurry to take your mother away because you’re afraid she’ll know the truth?”
Denisse’s lips started turning pale.
“What did you say? I didn’t understand.”
Madam Hubbard sensed something was wrong, but still stood by Denisse’s side and questioned Aubric, “What exactly do you want to say?”
Aubrie asked with red eyes, “Aren’t you curious where this heart in your daughter’s body came from?”
Madam Hubbard said without hesitation, “Of course, it was donated by a kind–hearted person.”
Aubrie laughed.
“How difficult organ donation is, do I need to remind you? Denisse waited in the hospital for so long and couldn’t find a matched heart. How come Sara got one as soon as she was hospitalized? Whose heart is she using, after all!”
Madam Hubbard’s face turned a bit pale as she exclaimed, “What nonsense are you talking about!”
“Even if I used to like Sarahi, how could I possibly dig into her heart? Don’t slander me out of thin air!”
Aubrie looked at Jovan with tears in her eyes.
“Is it slander? Ask your good son–in–law.”
Madarn Hubbard’s face turned even paler.
She looked at Jovan, who just kept his head down.
She looked at Denisse again, and Denisse shook her head desperately, saying she didn’t know anything
Madam Hubbard’s chest heaved, and she continued to retort, “This is impossible, how could this be possible, you’re spouting nonsense…”
Before she finished speaking, Aubrie pulled her towards the hearse at the funeral home,

The zipper of the body bag was opened, and Sarahi’s body was revealed.
Sir Hubbard rushed over, but he was still a step too late. Madam Hubbard screamed and her whole body went limp, staring fixedly at the person in front of her.
“Let her go!” Sir Hubbard rushed over, supporting the unsteady Madam Hubbard, trying to block her line of sight.
It is already late.
Madam Hubbard’s eyes widened, she looked at the person in front of her in disbelief, and for a moment, she couldn’t utter a word with her mouth open.
She felt only difficulty in breathing, barely managing to stand with the support of Sir Hubbard. It seemed as if something had snapped in her mind, murmuring, “How is this possible, how could it…”
Aubrie sneered, “Take a good look, Denisse’s life was traded for your other daughter!”
This statement pierced Madam Hubbard’s heart, and she couldn’t bear it any longer. She let out a cry of despair and fainted.
