Emily sobbed, as if she’d been done a great injustice. “I did it to help you! I know you hate her, so I killed her for you so you didn’t need to dirty your hands! Besides, she’s nothing but a monster, so she should’ve died ages ago! I was only doing the right thing!”
Cyrus scoffed, looking down at Emily in the same manner as he looked at me in the past. “You did it to help me? Then what about when you locked her up in that narrow basement, and used her blood as paint?
“You’re just a venomous witch who’s jealous of Marina!”
I chuckled bitterly. Cyrus finally found out about what Emily had been doing to me, but it was already too late. I was already late after all, so what was the use of punishing Emily at this point?”
Emily’s eyes widened in disbelief, and she shrieked, “I’m venomous?! How dare you! If I’m venomous, then what are you?
“Did you forget that you’ve tortured her not less than I did? Did you ever try helping her, even once,
when she was in pain?
ee anything you do… Cyrus, I’ll only love you from now on, so can’t we live happily together?”
“She’s already dead now, so she can’t:
She’d only finished talking before Cyrus‘ parents came in with guards, cuffing her up in shackles.
Emily was stunned for a moment, before she struggled against her bonds as hard as she could. “How dare you do this to me? I’m the future Luna Queen!”
Cyrus immediately slapped her across her face, before throwing a stack of parchinent at her.
“Are you mad? Marina’s my Luna Queen! Besides, you’re nothing but a traitor who betrayed the pack!”
Emily was pinned to the ground, her once dainty face becoming smudged with dirt.
Even when she saw the parchment, she didn’t think that she did anything wrong.
“Fine, you can call me a traitor, so what? Those merfolk are monsters! They’re not from the same race as us, so they’d never help us out of the goodness of their hearts! You can’t let them trick you!
“Alpha King, are you going to punish me because of those monsters?”
Cyrus took in several deep breaths, but he still couldn’t suppress the pain in his heart.
All these years, he’d stubbornly hurt the one who truly loved and cared for him, all while treating the vicious witch in front of him so well.
He really messed up.
“Emily, you’re actually the descendant of the dark sorcerer, and you infiltrated the Moonshadow Pack so that our deal with the merfolk would never come to fruition!”
“H–How could you know that? Who told you?!”
Everyone looked at Emily in shock, now seeing her as the monster she truly was.
Cyrus‘ father patted his shoulder gently. “Believe me now, son? Emily did all this because of her plans.”
“But I really do want to be with Cyrus, I do!” Emily cried loudly, but Cyrus only looked down at her like she was nothing more but trash
With a sudden burst of strength, she shook herself free from the werewolf that held her down and activated black magic toward the water tank, where I was held.
“Here’s what you get for not loving me, Cyrus!”
“No, don’t!”

My body was immediately torn to shred by the magic, to the point where one couldn’t even tell that it was me anymore.
“Marina!
“How dare you – Don’t stop me!”
Cyrus wanted to jump into the water tank to save me, but he was held back by the guards. It was common knowledge, after all, that touching dark magic was tantamount to a death sentence.
Emily sat there on the ground, fresh blood dripping out of her nose as she smiled deviously. The black magic had taken a toll on her.
Even until the black magic had completely run its course, and there was nothing left of my body, Cyrus still screamed and roared in agony.
“How dare you stop me! Look, now her body’s gone!”
No one dared to speak
At that moment, Cyrus looked up, and his eyes precisely met where my soul was floating.
I was surprised–Could he see me?
Eyes reddened in anguish, he begged me for the first time in his life.
“Marina, please… Please don’t go… Stay with me…”
