Chapter 51
Diana looked at the total rewards from everyone’s first livestream. She found out Sherry had the most rewards while the rest were not far from each other, but the amount was still almost half a month’s salary of an average working person.
After all, they were not exactly newcomers on social platforms. Even if they were considered “underrated stars“, they still had some fans and online presence. The only difference was the amount of traffic they had.
After reviewing everything, Diana said, “Next, I want all of you to post on your personal social media accounts the total amount of gifts and rewards you received during your first ‘Stargaze‘ livestream.
“But remember, don’t just directly post it. Before that, donate all the money to impoverished rural areas–donate in your own name, not under the company’s name.”
Zen was confused. “Weren’t you supposed to teach us how to make money through livestreaming? Then why do we need to donate all of it right now?” Diana explained, “This is the first step I was talking about–building hype! We need to generate traffic and buzz to draw public attention.”
No one would hate a celebrity doing charity work. Besides, even people who weren’t fans would also start to wonder what was going on with a media company like Citrus Bless when many celebrities suddenly made donations all at once.
When people became curious about something, a buzz would surely follow.
When the time came, Citrus Bless could do some behind–the–scenes work, and staying on the trending list wouldn’t be a problem. The next step would be much easier when they got that short–term buzz.
All of the actors had some faith in Diana, so they all did as they were told. An hour later, a sudden burst of voices echoed in the office.
As expected, everything went as Diana predicted–discussions about the actors suddenly shot up. At first, the public was worried that a sudden catastrophe had struck those rural areas. It didn’t make sense when many actors suddenly donated to those areas all at once.
But then, they found out it was really just a “kind act” from those actors to donate their money. The actors were immediately showered with praise.
In the entertainment industry, without buzz or traffic, as well as a strong background, it was basically a waste of time. Sooner or later, it would be inevitable for the whole industry to forget them.
Diana didn’t hold anyone back, either. She quickly arranged several media outlets and marketing accounts to push the story, but the focus was on the actors‘ past glory and the iconic roles they had once played.
It immediately struck a chord. As if a stone were tossed into a calm lake, the ripples spread instantly. The public all started to reminisce about the old days. After all, some of them had iconic hits, while others had iconic dances or TV shows.
Whether it was music or fragrance, it always carried memories from the past. Otherwise, why would so many people feel they are being pulled back to a specific time when they smelled a specific smell? It was that simple.
“Starting tomorrow, everyone needs to arrange a time to do a livestream at ‘Stargaze.‘ From now on, you guys can keep the rewards from the livestreams for yourselves. You don’t have to donate all of it again.” Diana instructed.
With that, she walked out of the office. She was heading out today with a few managers to discuss potential deals.
Mrs. Hendrix, what an unexpected honor. We shou given you a better welcome.”
The inoment Diana stepped into the room at the private business dinner, everyone immediately stood up.
Diana was Vincent’s partner, and Vincent was the heir of the Hendrix family, one of the country’s most powerful and top–tier elite families. To them, she was not someone they could disrespect.
The gentle smile on Diana’s face froze slightly. “Everyone, I’m the youngest here, so please treat me like any other junior. I’m still new to this industry, and there’s still so much I need to learn from all of you.”
Although it was a business meeting, the room wasn’t just filled with producers and investors–quite a few screenwriters and directors were present, too. Still, when it came to status in Heyton, Diana’s title as “Mrs. Hendrix” easily put her above everyone else in the room.
So, she deliberately lowered her stance, not to grovel or please anyone but to stay humble. By doing so, she had thoroughly satisfied these people’s pride and egos.
After all, Diana had come in person to patiently discuss a collaboration with them. It was unlike Vincent, with his cold, stone–faced demeanor. When he tried to pull strings for Gabriella, he would just call them, delivering a one sided order without any discussion.
