Chapter 61
Vincent knew Gabriella too well, so he couldn’t bear to let her do it, as he cared for her.
Although Diana seemed nonchalant about it earlier, maybe all that calmness was just an act. When he thought about Diana’s fierce outburst after seeing him being too intimate with Gabriella, Vincent felt his head start to throb.
It was true that Diana had a gentle personality, but he couldn’t rule out the chance that she might lash out at Gabriella out of jealousy.
Gabriella was such an innocent and pure woman in his mind. Even though she was a few years younger than Diana, Gabriella might be the one who got hurt if they ever confronted each other.
Meanwhile, a hint of malice flashed across Gabriella’s eyes. She had been so caught up in her happiness that she had totally forgotten about Diana. She couldn’t even bear to hear Diana’s name at all right now.
But everything was okay since she had made significant progress, and she was confident that everything that was supposed to be hers would eventually come her way.
Now that Diana was coming back, Gabriella wondered if Diana could handle the big surprise she had prepared for her.
“Vincent, I’ll come back after everything’s over, then.” Gabriella stood on her toes and kissed Vincent softly on his cheeks. She batted her eyes, looking bright and beautiful. “However, I have a question.”
Vincent looked down and smiled softly. “What is it?”
Gabriella glanced at him shyly, her eyes sparkling. “Vincent, do you want a boy or a girl?”
Vincent froze momentarily before asking in surprise, “Why are you asking this?”
“I was thinking…” Gabriella licked her lips with a bright smile. She moved closer flirtatiously and deliberately rubbed her body against him. “We’ve never used protection, so what if I get pregnant? Do you think it will be a boy or a girl?”
If it wasn’t that she was still too young, and it wasn’t long after her debut, not reaching her prime in her acting career yet, she really wanted to bear a child with Vincent.
But Gabriella changed her mindset. Even if she couldn’t have a child now, it didn’t mean she couldn’t have one in the future.
After all, Diana, who was as useless as a barren hen, couldn’t get pregnant. That would explain why they didn’t have a child after being married all these years.
Vincent was a successful person. Whether considering his status or looks, he was always the perfect guy that countless women in Heyton dreamed of. Plenty of socialites were desperate to marry him.
Gabriella was confident in her judgment when it came to men. For a person as successful as Vincent, there was never a chance that he was the infertile one. So, the person who was actually infertile and couldn’t bear the Hendrix family’s heir was indeed Diana.
A hint of discrete glee quickly flashed across Gabriella’s eyes when she thought about this.
Since Diana couldn’t have a child, Gabriella believed there was no reason to prevent her from getting pregnant with Vincent’s child. Gabriella swore that she would give birth to the Hendrix family’s future heir.
She was confident that this would happen solely based on her excellent skills in bed, her young age, and her body being healthier than Diana’s.
When he heard her words, Vincent froze. He was sure he wouldn’t have a child in this lifetime. Because of that time when Diana told him that she didn’t want to get pregnant because she was afraid of pain, he had a vasectomy without telling anyone else.
Only he and Diana knew about the vasectomy until now–not even Jason was aware,
Vincent didn’t really care much about having children. Until now, he hadn’t regretted even once that he had a vasectomy because of Diana.
After all, Vincent still had a place for Diana in his heart–it was just that he had fallen in love with two women at the same time.
