Chapter 63
“Yeah.” Diana nodded and replied obediently, “I’ve already officially debuted.”
A few days ago, news about Diana’s official debut immediately swept the trending lists on several social media platforms.
In the media’s eyes, she was the lady of the Hendrix family. Honestly, it was shocking to them that she gave up her comfortable life as a wealthy wife to go into the entertainment industry. “That’s great!” Jason exclaimed enthusiastically. “Young people should do what they love. I’m rooting for you and hope that you win the Best Actress award one day!”
Just as he finished speaking, he raised his head and let out a few hearty laughs–he seemed to be in a great mood.
Jason’s condition seemed to improve when he was in a good mood. He looked noticeably more energetic and refreshed now, which was exactly what Diana and Vincent wanted to see.
Diana knew that even if Vincent had hundreds upon thousands of flaws, he was ultimately an extremely devoted grandson. He cared about Jason more than anyone else.
After a few simple conversations with Diana, Adrian helped Jason back to the guest room for some rest.
“You two haven’t seen each other in a while, right? Diana’s been busy lately. And you, Vincent–you don’t even know how to take care of your wife,” Jason scolded, fixing his gaze on Vincent. “Both of you can sit down and talk. I won’t be bothering you.”
Jason’s intentions were obvious.
Vincent frowned, feeling a headache starting to build. Before Diana got home, Jason had already given him a severe scolding behind closed doors–he even got struck by Jason’s cane a few times.
Just as Jason left the living room, the other servants also respectfully exited and left the space to both of them. The living room was instantly filled with awkwardness.
Vincent furrowed his brows and remained silent, keeping his face solemn. Whenever he had that silent and serious attitude, the cold aurà around him was impossible to hide. Diana was also quiet.
A tense atmosphere filled the living room.
It wasn’t until Diana raised her head and looked at Vincent’s face that she spoke up. “What are you going to do about this?”
Jason living in the villa meant she couldn’t sleep in a separate bedroom from Vincent. Even if they needed to put on an act, they had to be a “loving couple” in front of Jason.
“I thought you weren’t coming back.” Vincent sneered as he turned to look at Diana.
“Didn’t you say that you don’t want to be Mrs. Hendrix anymore? Didn’t you say you can’t accept Gabby?” His tone was mocking, and his eyes were filled with coldness. “Then why are you here?”
The moment she came back, she was met with mockeries and sneers. Diana couldn’t help but laugh in frustration. But she still had some sense–she didn’t want to argue with Vincent here and disturb Jason.
Vincent still had a cold expression with a sharp edge, and the mocking in his eyes was almost unbearable.
Diana regained her composure and replied indifferently, “Grandpa’s health is declining. Don’t keep upsetting him.”
Vincent was a bit shocked that Diana didn’t argue with him. A trace of awkwardness flashed across his face as he turned away.
“It’s late. I’m going to brush my teeth and head to bed.” When she finished speaking, Diana stood up and walked straight to the second floor.
Looking at her beautiful back, Vincent clenched his fists.
Opening the door, Diana let out a sigh before walking into the master bedroom on the villa’s second floor.

It was hard not to feel sad about how things had become–how did a couple so in love end up like this?
Why was it so hard for rich and powerful men to stay faithful and not cheat?
Even when they cheated, they did it so shamelessly, as if it wasn’t something wrong.
