Can the attenvoeter’s phone had been blowing up with calls from unkown tubers. His screen was flooded with all kinds of hateful messages and insults
He could handle the use by himself, but his studio wen’t so larky. They were getting dragged into the mess, too.
Many began teang mational comments on the studio’s social media accounts
“Fire the homewrder”
“Birds of a feather flock together, Widing you a speedy shutdown”
“ell Astron Quill to apologize to Cums Miller in pili”
As Ashton read through the comments, he couldn’t help but feel his eyes ating
Giselle emiched off his phone. “Alright, enough. I’ve already got people handling it, so just rest up for the next few days, and don’t worry about a thing.”
Jake gently patted his shoulder. “You did nothing wrong, alright? Chill out, and we’ll help dear your name–together.”
Ashton knew just how much jake had poured into the studio, and he couldn’t let these people destroy it all.
wiping away his tears, he pulled himself together and started organizing everything
From his six–year relationship with Claire, to Curtis suddenly showing up, the fake marriage certificate, Curtis moving into their home, and finally his decision to break up and leave…..
Just as Ashton was about to hit send on his resignation, Jake came running over, eyes bright with excitement. “Ashton, come look! Claire just posted a statement.
Now, everyone has turned and tom Curtis apart!”
Ashton took the phone and read her statement. Claire made it clear that they had been the official couple for six years.
As for the marriage remificate that Curtis posted? She released chat logs where Curtis had come to her, crying, saying he was being forced into marriage by his family and being harassed by some creep,
She explained that she only agreed to register the marriage to help him, and that had sparked the whole chain of events.
If the statement ended there, Curtis might not have taken such a brutal hit online. But Claire went further–she declared she had been a victim of his deceit as well.
the exposed the stories about forced marriage and harassment as lies, and she even shared evidence from the Cameys, proving Curtis had interfered in Matilda’s relationships and scammed money from them.
From start to finish, Claire wiped herself clean, painting herself as the other victim. Her statement completely flipped public opinion on its head.
Those who had been relentlessly attacking Ashton suddenly realized they had been used as pawns. They quickly turned around, lashing out at Curtis with even
harcher words.
Claire tried to help Curtis out of kindness, but in the end, she lost her boyfriend and got labeled a homewrecker herself.
The most pitiful one, though, was Ashton. He was just trying to have a normal relationship, only to have his girlfriend stolen and himself be accused by the intemet of being the other man.
Meanwhile, some clear headed commenters pointed out the real issue–wasn’t Claire more responsible here?
She kept insisting she only wanted to help Curtis, but there were countless other ways she could have done so.
Why did she have to register her marriage with him? How could she prove she didn’t have feelings for him beyond that?
At those comments, Ashton quietly left a “like” on them. Then, he published his own public statement.
He solemnly stated that he and Claire had long since broken up, and he exposed what she had tried to hide by using a fake marriage certificate to deceive him.
Olselle and Jake also took legal action, suing several of the main instigators who led the online harassment against Ashton.
Ashton didn’t follow up on the aftermath, but through friends, he learned that Claire had been mercilessly dragged through the mud by the internet.
In the end, her private life scandals damaged her company’s reputation so badly that she was fired,
He thought this incident had completely severed all ties between them. But to his surprise, he ran into Claire downstairs just a few days later.
