Nadia spent almost all her time researching in her laboratory the next few days.
Saturday night came, and the Ford family’s private dock was brightly lit.
A jaw–droppingly large cruise ship with five stories was docked. The entire body was snow white, which made it look like a radiant pearl under the lights.
That was not just a ship. It was the symbol of wealth and power of Ford Group.
That was the night Ford Group was celebrating its 50th anniversary, and the celebration was held on that ship named Starborne.
Luxurious cars just kept rolling up at the dock. All the people who got out of the cars were big shots in the business field and high society of Seora and even the
country.
All of them boarded the ship in an orderly fashion with their invitation that was pressed with gold foil.
“Did you hear? Mr. Ford has spent a fortune this time and prepared five million shots of fireworks!”
“Five million shots? Gosh! I heard Ms. Jaeger likes fireworks. Mr. Ford is breaking the bank just to put a smile on her face.”
“The main point is that Mr. Ford might be going public with his relationship tonight. I heard Mr. Ford Senior has also boarded the ship. I wonder who it could be.”
“I think it should be Brittany.”
“Who else could it be? Mr. Ford recently went abroad to celebrate her birthday with her. That’s definitely the treatment the future Mrs. Ford would get.”
The guests were discussing softly with excitement and anticipation on their faces. They were then ushered into an exclusive passageway and boarded Starborne.
The banquet hall on the ship was decorated like an enchanted palace. Every detail showcased the owner’s taste and fortune.

A huge crystal chandelier hung from the tall ceiling, reflecting its lights on the shiny marble floor. The scent of fresh flowers and high–class fragrances lingered in the air. Melodious classical music echoed through the spacious hall.
Waiters were walking through the crowd with trays of champagne and exquisite snacks. They were elegant and well–trained.
Suddenly, there was a commotion at the entrance. The crowd, who were chatting softly, fell silent at the same time, and they all looked at the entrance at once.
Callum had appeared.
He was wearing a custom white suit that fit his figure perfectly. Every line was seamless and precise. Anything more would appear too much, but anything less would lose its elegance.
He was handsome, but he did not look gentle and harmless. There was a strong aggressiveness and aloofness to his fine looks. His features were well–defined, making him look sharp.
The woman on his arm was the famous award–winning actress, Brittany.
Brittany was in a long, sleeveless red dress that was tailor–made for her, making her complexion look radiant. The expensive diamond necklace around her neck was dazzling.
Her makeup was exquisite, and her smile was elegant. However, the smugness and arrogance in her eyes could not be concealed.
At that moment, she was the star of the show.
“Good evening, Mr. Ford.”
“You and Ms. Jaeger looked so good together, Mr. Ford!”
“You’re truly blessed, Mr. Fard. Ms. Jaeger is looking more and more stunning!”
“What a match made in heaven!”
Compliments and intriguing comments came pouring in.
All the socialites went up to greet them respectfully. Their eyes were filled with their approval of the future lady of the Ford family.
Brittany replied to them gracefully. A sense of pride surged within her, and it could not be suppressed.
The glory she gained that day was far more prestigious than any awards she had won.
Right as Brittany was basking in the joy of being the center of attention, the music in the banquet hall suddenly stopped. The crowd fell silent once again.
Someone had arrived. This time, their entrance created a bigger commotion compared to Callum and Brittany’s.
Samuel entered the hall slowly with a gorgeous lady on his arm, and she was wearing a backless gold dress. The long dress was made with flowy silk, and it radiated a high–end metallic sheen. The hem of her dress was unfolding slowly like melted gold.
If Brittany was a vibrant red rose, then the woman was a sophisticated gold tulip.
Her well–defined features were gorgeous. Her deep–set eyes seemed to be able to draw others in. Her luscious hair cascaded down her shoulders, making her complexion glow.
A big part of her supple skin was exposed, and her shoulder blades looked like wings, which formed a seductive are with every subtle move she made.
The dress perfectly outlined her hourglass figure, leaving everybody stunned.
What the others could not ignore was the striking sapphire necklace around her neck. It was dazzling under the light. It was not an ordinary piece of jewelry. That was a piece treasured by the Falverian royalty. It symbolized utmost glory and doting love,
“Gosh! Who’s this beautiful woman? She’s too pretty!”
“Her figure is simply stunning!”

“Holy shit! I think she’s wearing the King’s Heart from Faveria! That’s a priceless necklace!”
“Who the hell is she?”
“That’s the legendary Mr. Langner from Bluebird Technologies, right? He’s so handsome! Could she be Mr. Langner’s fiancee?”
The crowd was abuzz. All eyes were on Nadia, and they were mixed with awe, jealousy, and all types of emotions.
Even Callum could not help but be stunned by Nadia’s beauty.
He had known Nadia for a long time, but this was the first time he saw her looking so strikingly and intimidatingly beautiful.
Was she all dolled up that night for the sake of Samuel or herself?
Callum quickly composed himself, put on a smile, and went up to them.
‘Welcome, Mr. Langner,” he said enthusiastically with his hand extended, but his gaze was locked on Nadia. However, he did not see any emotions on her face at
all.
Brittany walked over as well. She had a stiffened smile as she extended her hand politely and said, “Hello, Mr. Langner.”
Samuel glanced at her, but he had no intention of shaking her hand. He simply ignored her.
“Are you hungry? I’ll accompany you to grab a bite over there,” Samuel asked Nadia gently in a doting voice.
Nadia nodded.
“Excuse us.” Samuel nodded at Callum and walked off gracefully with Nadia on his arm.
Brittany’s face instantly turned sullen.
She was the famous actress, the future wife of Callum. How could she be ignored like this? This was an outrageous humiliation!
“Callum, what’s Mr. Langner playing at? How did Nadia get involved with him? Does she not know who she is?” Brittany asked softly in a harsh tone.
Callum frowned. He was about to say something when two business partners walked over and greeted him with enthusiasm.
“Hello, Mr. Ford.”
“Congratulations, Mr. Ford!”
“Brittany, go have some snacks over there. I’ll join you later,” he said to Brittany gently.
Brittany was upset, but she had no choice but to hold it in. She nodded and walked to the snacks area. She was staring daggers at Nadia.
Samuel’s phone rang, and he whispered something to Nadia. After Nadia nodded, he turned around and left.
Nadia did not care about the buzz in her surroundings at all. She walked right up to the table, grabbed an exquisite piece of macaroon, and took a bite gently.
“Not bad,” she muttered to herself.
A 30–story champagne tower was reflecting the lights from the dazzling chandelier in the hall. The color of the lights was radiant, making this event an absolute
feast for the eyes.
Nadia was standing near it, holding a glass and looking at the swirling juice in it out of boredom.
Suddenly, without any anticipation, the champagne tower that symbolized luxury and celebration made a screeching sound as it leaned over. Before anybody could react, it collapsed, and it was falling in Nadia’s direction.
A scream broke the elegant atmosphere in an instant.
Countless glasses came crashing down like a hailstorm. Deadly lights were refracted off the broken shards, and they all flew toward Nadia.
She was too near the tower of death.
Nadia’s mind went blank, and her body was completely frozen. A great sense of fear washed over her.
Brittany widened her eyes in excitement. She was waiting to see Nadia’s beautiful face become a bloody mess.
Suddenly, a tall figure flashed across the room.
