Chapter 64
If Renee really was behind your fall into the river, then that family must’ve talked about the truth in the car at some point. Sooner or later, we’ll catch something on the recording. Once we have solid proof, we can get her locked up!” Vivienne said.
“I might as well just bug her car myself,” Giselle said. While she admitted this method could work, she still didn’t want her best friend getting involved. After all, this kind of surveillance was illegal.
“You think she’d ever let you n

car with how things are between you two? She’s definitely on high alert.”
“I have my ways,” Giselle replied confidently. “Vivi, just stay out of anything related to Renee. And as for Sebastian, you’d better stay away from him too. The last thing I want is you getting emotionally tangled up with him—”
“Bullshit!” Vivienne rolled her eyes. “If I had the slightest interest in that moron, I’d have said yes two years ago when he tried to hit on me. Have you seen that face of his?
Never mind the top over influencers and models he’s hooked up with–he’s disgusting. And he’s your enemy’s son. I would never catch feelings for that piece of
Trash”
Giselle couldn’t help but laugh
She’d known Vivienne for ten years. She didn’t come from a much better background. Her parents divorced when she was young and went on to start new families, treating her like a burden passed back and forth. Eventually, she was sent overseas for school.
The two met in high school in Edevane. With similar family stories and both being Valantian, they quickly bonded and became inseparable.
Giselle was the bold one, always chasing extreme sports and adrenaline. She was smart, decisive, and strikingly beautiful. Vivienne, by contrast, was terrified of roller coasters and bungee jumps. She was loud and carefree in personality. While also beautiful, she couldn’t quite match Giselle’s striking looks. Their dynamic naturally fell into place–Giselle was the protector and provider, always taking care of her and calling her “Vivi.”
Vivienne adored her, always cheering her on from behind and calling her “Selle.” But when Giselle was in trouble, Vivienne gave her all to support her. After graduation, Giselle became a vet and started her own pet brand, Vivienne became a dentist at a private clinic and had done well for herself too. Vivienne understood Giselle’s feud with the Holt family better than anyone. Even so, Giselle still didn’t want her dragged into it, especially not after Sebastian. Once that line was crossed, things always got complicated.

Last time, Renee had failed to kill her. But even if Giselle managed to gather irrefutable evidence with great effort, that woman would hire the best legal team money could buy and probably delay sentencing for a year or more.
So she had no interest in wasting time like that. She already had a better revenge plan in mind.
Two days later, on a Wednesday evening, Giselle decided to personally retum the beloved teline to Dorothea at the Kane family manor. After nearly two weeks of dedicated care, Dorothea’s cat had finally made a full recovery.
Around 5:00 pm, the drove her Audi A8 to the Kane manor without informing anyone in advance.
The car was registered under Donovan’s name. As she approached the estate’s gate, the system automatically recognized the license plate and granted her access with no trouble at all
