Waiting for Hearts That Do Not Come 17

Chapter 17

Leon, Zane, and Steve felt as if they had been stabbed as they took in the scene before them. They couldn’t breathe. In the past, all this had belonged exclusively to

them. But now…

There weren’t many people left in the restaurant. The three men approached Cheryl and Dylan, somber expressions etched into their features

Focused on their meal, the couple didn’t notice Leon, Zane, and Steve. They thought the men were just waiters passing by. Only when Cheryl and Dylan noticed their continued presence did they look up

Upon seeing who it was, Cheryl’s smile fell

What are you guys doing here? Hadn’t I made myself clear?”

Leon, Zane, and Steve were hurt by the change in Cheryl’s attitude

Leon said carefully, Cheryl, we came here for you. Can’t we talk?”

Dylan stepped in and asked, What could you possibly have to say to my wife?”

Although Cheryl had told him that she felt nothing for the three of them, he still didn’t want Cheryl to be alone with them. After all, they grew up together and spent nearly two decades with each other, not to mention the fact that Cheryl was extremely softhearted

Cheryl. The three men didn’t respond to Dylan’s question. Their eyes remained glued to Cheryl

As she didn’t want them to continue harassing her, Cheryl agreed to their request to speak privately

Cheryl kissed the comer of Dylan’s mouth as a form of reassurance. After he left, she stared coldly at the men before her

Have a seat. Go on, then.”

Her contrasting attitude between how she treated them and how she spoke to Dylan stung

Outside the restaurant, Dylan played around with the rocks at his feet. Suddenly, an unassuming woman in a white dress approached him. She stared at him with glassy eyes. It was Giselle

Thinking that he was standing in her way, Dylan stepped aside. At his behavior, the pitiful expression on Giselle’s face froze for a second. However, she schooled her features quickly

Are you Cheryl’s husband?”

Dylan stared at the weird woman before him and didn’t offer a reply

I’m Aaron Brussel’s daughter. He used to be a butler working for the Jenner family. There have been some misunderstandings between Ms. Jenner and me. She has a crush on the heirs to the Kingsley, Thomson, and Laurent families

However, I’m kind of special to them, so she frequently picks on me.As she spoke, Giselle wiped at her tears. “I’m here to apologize to Ms. Jenner. I hope she doesn’t marry on a whim and regret her decision for the rest of her life. After all, she likes them so much”

While Giselle was trying to paint Cheryl in a bad light, she hadn’t noticed that Dylan’s expression of neutrality had morphed into one of dissatisfaction

Dylan could no longer stand her. He cut in, Have bitches these days lost all sense of class?”

IGiselle was taken aback. She then said, I just don’t want you to get hurt. Why aren’t you appreciating my kindness?”

The three men you’re referring to must be the ones harassing my wife now. If you’re so special to the three of them, why do you seem so drawn and frail? They haven’t been keeping you wellfed, unlike how I’ve been treating Cheryl. She’s been glowing ever since we got married. Rats like you don’t even deserve to eat her leftovers.”

If not for the fact that Dylan wanted to prevent Giselle from barging in and interrupting Cheryl’s conversation, he wouldn’t have wasted his time speaking to her

It’s one thing not to appreciate my kind warning. It’s another to be scolding me. Why are you doing this?”

Dylan was utterly unshakeable. How could Cheryl be so lucky? Even after leaving the three heirs, she still managed to score an amazing man

Giselle thought she had hidden her dark expression as inwardly she cursed Cheryl out. In reality, her twisted features were reflected entirely in the glass window. Dylan stood behind her and warned coldly, You twofaced bitch, don’t let me catch you cussing my wife out. You won’t like the consequences of pissing me off.Cheryl paused. She was about to turn around when she realized her face could be seen through the window. Lowering her head, she strode into the restaurant. The second she crossed the threshold, she saw Leon, Zane, and Steve passionately confessing their love to Cheryl

Cheryl, I do love you.”
