Chapter 11
Everyone gasped.
“Why didn’t we hear a thing about something this major? You really kept it quiet.”
“Now that you’re divorced from Yara, are you planning to marry Yelena? No offense, but with how strict your family is, that won’t be easy.”
“Yeah, are you two ready for that fight?”
The questions came one after another. Everyone thought now that Bryce was divorced, he would give everything up just to be with Yelena. After all, Bryce’s friends had seen how deep their feelings ran all these years.
But the more they discussed it, the darker Bryce’s expression got. He held Yelena tighter and asked in a low voice, “Lena, what do you think?”
He left the choice to Yelena. As long as she gave the word, he would give her everything she wanted without any hesitation.
Bryce looked at her intently. Faced with all their questions, Yelena answered calmly, “Yara’s just mad at Bryce right now. They’ve been married for years, so they will get back together eventually.
“And don’t joke around like that. Bryce and I are siblings, so how could we ever be together? You’re going to win Yara back, won’t you, Bryce?”
Yelena spoke with such innocence that everyone turned to Bryce in disbelief. No one thought he would agree to something so ridiculous, but he gave a slight nod and agreed with her.
“Lena’s right. yara’s just mad at me. I’ll win her back soon, and we’ll get married again.”
He said it while staring at Yelena, like it was just another casual promise. Bryce’s friends frowned, and finally one of them spoke up quietly.
“Bryce, you said Yara left you. If she really made up her mind, she’s probably not going to come back. If you and Yelena truly love each other, we would all support
you.
“But stringing Yara along like this doesn’t seem right, does it?”
That made the rest of them go quiet. They had already thought it was wrong for Bryce to be with Yara while tangled up with Yelena. Now, they couldn’t hold it in
anymore.
Before Bryce could respond, Yelena answered first, “Marrying Bryce was always Yara’s dream, and she’ll be the only one who’s upset over the divorce. “I’m only doing this for her. She’ll definitely come back. She loves By
too much to let him go.”
Bryce nodded again, believing Yelena was right. If Yelena hadn’t begged him to give Yara a chance, he would never have married the latter.
It was the same now. If he turned back, Yara would return to his side.
They might as well treat these few days as their last happy moments together.
Bryce grabbed a bottle of wine and drank straight from it. Just as Yelena was about to stop him, Bryce kissed her, the taste of strong alcohol still on his lips.
It was the first time they kissed like that in front of their friends.
Yelena pushed at Bryce’s chest but couldn’t move him. She quickly gave in to his passion.
Just as Bryce was about to take things further, the door to the private room s Open. Richard stormed in, his face twisted with rage.
“Bryce, Yara! What the hell are you doing?”
They pulled apart immediately, and Yelena’s face turned deathly pale. She tried to get off Bryce, but he held her tight.
His voice was firm as he said, “You saw exactly what we were doing.”
Yelena stared at him in disbelief. She shrieked, “Bryce, what are you doing?”
Bryce looked at her seriously. Lena, be with me, okay? I don’t want to keep hiding anymor
“We can marry and have kids. If you say yes, we’ll be together forever.”
We’r
not related by blood, so we can love each other openly.
Seeing the determination in Bryce’s eyes and the stern look on Richard’s face, Yelena panicked. She raised a hand and slapped Bryce across the face. “Bryce, cut it out!”
The slap was loud, and Bryce went quiet. He stared at the woman he loved with hurt in his eyes and slowly clenched his fists.
His friends had already made themselves scarce.
Richard scoffed and ignored everything going on between them. Several bodyguards stepped in and held Bryce and Yelena down. “You’re both coming home today. No one leaves until this is resolved!“
