Chapter 160
BOOK 2 CHAPTER 30.
Harriette’s POV
It’s been four days since I woke up in Rowan’s room without a recollection of what happened in the days prior to that one.
Well, I had my recollections but everyone around me believed it was wrong. I found it hard to think they were lying to me There was no way about five to six of them would say the same thing, but I didn’t also want to believe it was true. I didn’t want to believe that I didn’t remember four days of my
The Werewolf King called me a Dreamwalker. He was the first person who made sense of what had been happening to me, but I had to deny it. There was no way I would sit there and accept that I was a Dreamwalker.
No one has to know. That was my burden to carry.
The pack doctor said I needed to talk to my wolf and build a connection with her. How was I supposed to build a connection with something that didn’t exist within me at all? The only time we shifted back in my pack was during the full moon and the next full moon was weeks away. It wasn’t until I got to this Rogue pack that I realized people could shift at any moment they wanted
That was a luxury I couldn’t afford.
“Hello, Harriette, Commander Mika greeted with a smile as she walked into the painting room. She’d asked us to meet here every day since I woke up. I tried my best to turn up every day after training with the warriors in the morning.
On some days, Ella came with me and stayed for a few minutes. On other days, I came alone once.
I smiled back. “Hi, Commander Mika,”
She took a deep breath. “You have a beautiful smile, Harriette. Why didn’t you smile this much when you first came here?” She asked.
Another thing that people had noticed about me was that I was much happier. Even Ella agreed with them. I don’t understand how or what they meant but in all honesty, ever since I woke up I felt lighter. It felt as though a heavy burden had been lifted from my shoulder.

Those words resounded in my head. I don’t know who said that or where I heard it from but that had been the only voice in my head since I woke up. I guess they were the source of comfon I’d just
“So, let’s start today’s painting,” Commander Mika said with joy.
“Do I really have to?” I complained.

“It’s a form of therapy,” she answered. The doctor suggested it. Not me,” she added.
“Why? Why?” I asked twice.
“Don’t be a sourpuss. You have to draw. It’s to help you build a connection with your wolf,” she answered.
“For years, I’ve done just fine without that,” I complained.

She answered.
I nodded. She was right! Something was going on with Ella that he wasn’t talking about.
Most times, she acted like a stranger around me. She wasn’t as clingy as she used to be. It felt as though she was avoiding
- me.
“Can you tell me what happened during the days that I don’t remember?” I asked her as she placed an blank canvas in front of inc.
“Have you asked Ella!”
I nodded, reluctanctly. I did ask Ella but she didn’t tell me anything. She said it was best if I didn’t know.
“Nothing good came out of asking her, I told her.
“What about Rowan?”
I shook my head. I and Rowan hadn’t said anything but a few words to each other since that day. Was he busy or was he avoiding me? It was difficult to know which one it was.
“Paint whatever comes to y your head,”
She instructed.
I pushed the thoughts of Rowan to the back of my head and focused on the blank canvas in front of me.
“Don’t paint a ball like the past two days,” she warned.
I laughed. “You said whatever came to my head and that was it,”
I told her.
She squinted her eyes at me and I chuckled again.
“I can’t really say this was what happened exactly but you and Ella were trying to run away from the pack after Ella stole from Rowan,”
My brush almost dropped from my hand. “Stole?” I asked her.
That was impossible.
“Ella would never do such a thing,” I answered.
“Same thing you said but she accepted that she stole it. She said you didn’t know. You only agreed to go with her because she told you she was tired of being here,”
Commander Mika explained.
I stared at her in disbelief. “That’s impossible, I repeated. I shook my head out of disbelief again and again.
Commander Mika grabbed my shoulder and asked me to focus back on what I was supposed to do.
“Take a deep breath and concentrate. Whatever image comes to your head is what you should draw,” she informed me.
I nodded. As I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, the image that flashed through my head was that of Rowan throwing me over his shoulder while I fought him tooth and nail.
“That’s weird,” 1 complained.

“What is it?”
“What I just saw” I answered, not really sure if it was real.
She looked at me enthusiastically, hoping I would tell her what was
I shook my head. I shouldn’t tell her about that. I should talk to Rowan instead.
“Paint it out then,” she answered when she noticed my reluctance
I nodded. I wouldn’t draw that, of course, but I just had to agree to avoid any argument.
Ten minutes into painting, a knock came at the door, Both Mikaland I immediately turned in the direction of the door, shock in our eyes.
We’d never talked about it but we still lived in the fear of Thorne breaking down the door as we painted.
The door opened. It was Alpha Rowan. Even though its been a while since I’d last seen him, he looked more attractive than usual.
“You have a visitor, Harriette, Rowan informed me.
“A visitor?” I asked.
He nodded. That wasn’t true, right? There was no way anyone would visit me here.
Who?”
Alpha Rowan shrugged and walked away.
“Go!” Commander Mika encouraged me
I followed him diligently. We walked upstairs to his office. Just as we entered the reception, the Werewolf King was sitting outside the office with his men.
“Hi, Harriette. I want you to meet some people,”
He pointed to the door of Rowan’s office. I could see Ella sitting at the reception, her head bowed down as though she was ashamed of herself.
What was going on? Could it be Mother? There was no way Mother would come here.
“Who?” I asked Rowan again.
“Alpha Darius and Alpha Mason,”
I snapped my gaze at him. “Alpha Mason?” I repeated.
Why does the name sound so familiar? Like someone I knew or 1 had met
Filled with uncertainty, I followed Rowan. He opened the door for me and I walked in. As soon as I stepped in, both men in the room turned to look at me.
One of them looked at the other with a bitter–sweet smile on his face.
“It’s her, right?”
The other one nodded. “It’s her. That’s our Reina,”
