Of course, I knew I could not handle it on my own. But that was what they were here for, right? If they thought they could just
stand on the sidelines and do nothing, they were sorely mistaken. I certainly would not allow it!
I cleverly tossed the question back to them. “What are you three planning to do?”
Devon pulled out a document and handed it to me. I glanced through it and saw that everything–from now until post–birth
recovery–had been meticulously planned out.
He added, “Take a look and let us know if there’s anything missing. For the next few months, the three of us will take turns
staying with you to take care of you.”
I had no objections to that. After all, the baby should bond with its father–or fathers—a bit more.
As for which one was the father? That did not matter.
The baby only needed to know that I was their beloved mom.
Seeing I had no issues with the plan, the three of them immediately got busy carrying it out, leaving Reuben to stay with me.
I poked him and asked, “What about Wallie?”
He checked his phone and replied, “He’s at the vet. After wandering outside for a few days, he needs a full check–up. Once
everything is fine, he’ll be brought back.”
I nodded in understanding.
Still, I looked at him curiously. “Don’t you need to go to work?”
He shot me a sidelong glance. “I’m the boss.”
So what? Did being the boss mean he didn’t have to work?
He tapped my forehead lightly. “What are you always thinking about? Do you think I employ all those people just for show?
Besides, my assistant, Liam, will bring the important files to me. I’ll still need to visit the office occasionally.”
I gave him a look of sudden realization. How could I forget about the all–capable assistant every CEO had at their side?
It was no wonder Wallie was found so quickly.
After the banquet, the Jordans‘ reputation plummeted. Many of their business partners even cut ties with them. People believed that the Jordans‘ cold–hearted act of throwing out a daughter they had raised for years and stepping on her for fame was too
ruthless.
No one wanted to work with someone who might stab them in the back at any moment, so partnerships dissolved left and right.

Now, the Jordans were scrambling to appease everyone, and they had their hands full with damage control. They even started calling me frequently, trying every angle to get Reuben to help them out.
I could not believe their audacity. Eventually, as I was fed up with everything, I blocked them all.
During my pregnancy, the three men took excellent care of me. I did not feel even the slightest fatigue.
The house was already piling up with baby supplies.
Reuben even bought out the apartment units next to mine and above mine, merging them into one large space. Devon went a step
further and acquired an entire mother–and–baby care company. Aden reserved the top floor of one of his hospitals exclusively for
me, staffing it with the best doctors and nurses.
By the time I was four months pregnant, my belly was unnaturally large. I looked more like I was five or six months along.
The three of them panicked and rushed me to the hospital for a check–up. That was when we discovered I was carrying triplets.
The men were overjoyed and practically beside themselves with excitement.
