Matt abandoned all his work in the company because all he could think about was that he had to find Fiona. He had to apologize to her. He had to make her understand that in his heart she was the only one that he truly low
Realizing he was becoming too emotional, Matt took a few deep breaths to steady himself. Then, in a sudden bout of desperation, he knelt before the police officers.
“Please, I’m begging you. Help me find her. I’ll pay whatever it takes to bring her back safely,” he begged. After filing his report and leaving the police station, Matt’s secretary finally sent him a message.
[Sir, we found Mrs. Harris’s last location. She had taken a taxi to the local public records office before disappearing.]
Matt immediately remembered about the phone call that morning and Fiona’s cold expression.
Without hesitation, he drove straight to the records office.

After The Love Had Dead and Gone, You’d Never See Me Again
After he explained the situation, he waited for the police to arrive. Once they were present, the staff accessed the system and found Fiona’s record. The screen displayed three words next to her name “Certificate Canceled.”
Matt felt as though the blood in his veins had turned to ice.
“What about her new identification details?” he asked urgently. “Can you check? She’s my wife and she’s missing. I’m worried something might have happened to her!”
The tension in his voice convinced the staff. With the police assistance, they managed to retrieve Fiona’s new identification details and, shortly after, her international travel record.
Matt could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Matt handed all his work over to his assistant and as soon as he finished giving instructions, he booked a flight
abroad.
Before he left, Taylor messaged him, wanting to meet.
[I’m busy looking for someone] he replied to her request with a stern message.
However, Taylor spoke again with her innocent tone and as usual, she twisted the narrative to place the blame on Fiona. [Fiona is really something, isn’t she? Your company is dealing with such a huge crisis and she’s still causing drama. It’s been five years, but how come she has not matured?]
[I’ll try to reach out to her for you to clear up the misunderstanding from that day] She added sweetly.
As he read her messages, Matt felt his anger rising.
[This is between my wife and me!] he texted back. [It had nothing to do with you.]
Then he added. [From now on, let’s not contact each other. I don’t want to cause any misunderstandings with your husband. I’ve already delegated the company’s affairs to my subordinates. You can coordinate with them instead of messaging me directly.]
[That’s it for now. I have a plane to catch. Goodbye.]
He shut off his phone, only for Taylor to call moments later. Her voice trembled, tears evident in her tone as she said, “Matt, I’m just worried about you. That’s all. Don’t misunderstand me, okay? I know you’re upset, but Fiona is an adult. She needs to grow up; otherwise, she’ll just keep causing trouble for you.”
