Chapter 2
I knelt on the bed in a humiliating position, my back fully exposed to Alpha Albert–the most vulnerable part of me.
The thought alone sent a shiver through me, my breath quickening with fear, as I terrified that the angry Alpha Albert might sink his fangs into my throat at any moment.
Yet, to my surprise, Alpha Albert continued kissing the nape of my neck.
“Sini.”
I turned my head to look at him. Alpha Albert’s eyes were faintly red, as if he were suppressing the feelings he held for Sini.
I couldn’t tell how much time had slipped

away before our lingering moment finally came to an end.
Alpha Albert stood up, and his gaze turned icy cold in an instant.
My body was covered in wounds left by Alpha Albert’s relentless bites.
Without sparing me another glance or a single word, he turned to leave.
“Alpha Albert, please, I need some medicine. If these wounds get infected, I won’t make it.”
Lowering my head, I called out to him, desperate as I examined the injuries.
But Alpha Albert didn’t seem to care in the slightest. He merely left me with a cold remark: “As long as your face is fine, that’s all that matters.” Then, he walked away.

As long as your face is fine.
I picked up the torn remnants of my clothes from the floor and found a mirror.
The reflection staring back at me showed tear–streaked cheeks, and though the clothes I had hastily wrapped around me covered most of my body, faint glimpses of the wounds were still visible.
Before long, blood seeped from the gashes, staining the fabric red.
In the following days, Alpha Albert treated me the same every night, giving me barely enough food to survive. To him, it seemed I only existed to fulfill his unresolved longing for Sini.
But I didn’t give up on escaping.

The love I had nurtured for Alpha Albert over the past decade had been completely worn away by him in just a few nights.
One day, Alpha Albert told me that his parents would visit us in a few days.
Since Alpha Albert had taken over the pack, his parents had been traveling the world.
“I expect you to act normal in front of my parents. At least don’t let them suspect anything,” Alpha Albert said, his tone filled with impatience as he occasionally glanced out the window.
The full moon was approaching.
Anxiety stirred within me. Without Alpha Albert’s presence on a full moon night, it would be unbearable.

Yet it was clear Alpha Albert had no intention of staying by my side.
“Alpha Albert, stay with me. I’m begging you.”
I clung to Alpha Albert’s leg, pressing my face against it, pleading with all the desperation I could muster.
Alpha Albert kicked me away in disgust. “Get lost.”
With that, he turned and walked out as moonlight spilled across the ground, leaving me behind.
Under the silver glow of the moon, my yearning for Alpha Albert grew even stronger.
I rummaged through the room, finding one of his garments, hoping it might soothe the

ache within me.
But it was useless–there was nothing left in the room that carried his scent anymore.
This was the hardest full moon night I had endured since becoming Alpha Albert’s mate.
My body felt as if it were being devoured by countless insects, gnawing not only at my flesh but at my very soul.
When the sun finally rose, I lay surrounded by sweat–soaked clothing, drenched again and again throughout the night.
Alpha Albert returned with the first rays of sunlight, his face darkened with displeasure. Without a word, he forced me onto the bed.
Though my body responded to him out of

instinct, my gaze remained lifeless, fixed on the ceiling, silently counting the seconds until it was all over.
When it ended, Alpha Albert didn’t rush to leave as he usually did. For the first time, he rested his head on my chest.
Just like before, when he would lie there, murmuring my name.
He lingered there for what felt like an eternity before finally rising and walking away.
This time, he took all his clothing with him.
“You’re not even worthy of touching them.”
Any hope that had flickered within me during our intimacy was snuffed out by his cold words.

I stayed silent, as always, and Alpha Albert didn’t care for a response.
Without looking back, he left the room.
