After that day Julia seemed to have taken a step back and pretended to be docile. For the next three months she came to the office like an obedient wife yet with each passing day her heels clicking against the marble got more extravagant, the designer handbag dangling from her arm was always the latest release and there was still contempt in her eyes.
But everyone could see that the spark between her and Xavier was gone.
She pretended to do her work, often chatting away with her friends while Xavier barely left duties and Xavier often scolded her publicly making out her faults.
And then one afternoon, a sudden accident transpired.

“Mr.Stone your wife is stable. Nothing to worry about.” he said. “The baby is also well.” The doctors looked at the employees and then at Xavier as he answered.!

Xavier’s brows furrowed, but he nodded and followed the man out of the ward.
“Mr Stone are you absolutely sure that you want this child? “The doctor looked at him stiffly, his tone filled with disdain

“I have worked with celebrities and high–society names. So I know it must be normal for you people but the child will die if this continues.
Xavier’s voice turned colder. “What are you trying to say?”
“The way you are taking care of the baby, it is almost a miracle how the child is still breathing. Mr.Stone the doctors strictly forbid any kind of rough sex when a female is six months pregnant, seeing the results it can be seen that your wife has been subjected to rough intercourse more than ten times these months.X

Xavier couldn’t breathe. His world tilted for a moment, his eyes widening like he hadn’t heard right.
He was so busy with his work these three months that he barely slept let alone indulge in wild fantasies with Julia so it meant she she cheated on him.
