Chapter 78
Donovan was utterly disgusted by Giselle’s constant stream of wild and shameless remarks. He chose to ignore her.
Donovan had grown up in a cold and disciplined environment. He had always carried himself with a seclous demeanor and rarely cracked a smile.
Aside from Zachary, no one else dared to crack a jolor whilst in his presence.
Giselle was the only one who behaved freely around him and treated him like a normal person. At first, she had driven him crazy, so much so that he often wanted to strangle her.
But over time, he found something oddly tolerable–maybe even pleasing–about how she shamelessly messed around without a care.
Giselle didn’t bother to ask where he wanted to eat or what he felt like eating. She simply took the lead and drove him to a fury mall
Afterparking the car, they took the elevator to an Agatonian restaurant on the third floor.
The restaurant charged around 2,000 dollars per person. While this was the cheapest place Donovan had ever eaten at, most people would have considered it downright extravagant.
They sat down in the dimly lit restaurant. While Donovan focused on replying to work emails on his phone, Giselle grabbed the menu and began ondering without consulting him.
She picked all her favorites and even ordered several signature dishes, knowing full well she’d never finish them.
As they waited, Giselle took a sip of water and couldn’t help but glance at him. If she remembered correctly, this was their first meal together since they’d started” dating” over a year ago.
Giselle looked at his sharp and stoic face, and for a fleeting moment, her mind wandered. It was as if the past had dissolved and all that remained was the simple, startling urge to know him anew.
It was then that one dish after another was brought to the table.
Giselle was very hungry and had ordered all her favorites, so she didn’t hold back she dug in enthusiastically, stuffing large chunks of steak into her mouth without a second thought
Il pieces, chewed slowly, and barely ate
In contrast, Donovan–the only man at the table–was eating with perfect etiquette and grace. He cut his steak into small much at all. It was a mystery how someone who ate so little could grow to be so tall and strong.
Worse yet, he could’ve minded his own business. But no, he couldn’t stand watching Giselle devour her food like some barbarian.
He frowned and couldn’t help but mutter, “Can’t you at least try to eat with some ladylike grace?”
Rather than being offended, Giselle doubled down. She reached over and helped herself to the meat on his plate. Then, she teased him with a grin, “I like eating meat in big bites. I also love drinking in big gulps… and shouting during sex. Don’t you?”
That shut him up instantly.
All Donovan could do was glare at her. There was nothing else he could say.
In the face of a foul–mouthed rogue like her, someone as refined and dignified as him never stood a chance.
Giselle had never been one to skimp on food. She had no interest in starving herself to achieve some paper–thin figure.
Her daily workouts, fast metabolism, and sheer youth allowed her to eat whatever she wanted without gaining weight while maintaining perfect curves. Her health metries were always stellar, and her energy was boundless.
The final dish was served not long after, and it was Giselle’s favorite–lobster.
But when she saw how poody it was presented, she couldn’t help but complain again. “What kind of lobster is this? It looks like — ”
Before she could finish, Donovan, who had just taken a sip of water, suddenly choked and started coughing
She laughed gleefully at his reaction. “Why are you so fostered? I was talking about this! What did you think I meant? Don’t blame me for your dirty mind!”
