Chapter 176
-LUCA-
It was dark. I tried moving around but found out my whole body was chained. Where the fuck was I?
I struggled against the chain and tried to scream but suddenly, my mouth felt like it was sewn shut. What the fuck was happening? Where was I?
Just then, I heard Delilah’s voice. It was faint but I knew it was her and she was calling my name.
I struggled against the chains only for it to get tighter. The more I struggled, the more it held me tight till I could barely breathe.
“Luca, wake up!” Delilah yelled as she suddenly came into view and my eyes widened. What did she mean to wake up? This felt too real to be a dream.
She suddenly got closer and grabbed onto my face, her eyes frantic.
“Wake up!” She screamed into my face and immediately, I jolted awake.
I sat up straight on the bed immediately, breathing like I had just ran a Marathon.
“Are you okay?” Delilah questioned as she wrapped her arms around me and I honestly didn’t know how to answer her.
She took
my
silence as an answer and her arms tightened around me.
“It’s going to be okay. Those fucking witches, I’m going to end them” She murmured and I cracked a smile before pulling away, just enough that I could see her face.
“You’re not coming with Damon and I” I told her and she frowned.
“Of course I’m coming with both of you. I…
“Delilah please don’t fight me on this. I don’t want you getting hurt and I’m sure as hell that Damon and I can protect ourselves from a bunch of witches. Trust me, please? I’ll tell you everything when we get back” I murmured before placing a kiss on her lips and she frowned.
“I want to be there for you, Luca” She replied and I smiled.
“Knowing that you and Mia are home waiting for me is more than enough. I just want to get better so I can be the perfect husband and father to both of you” I said as I caressed her face and she sighed.
“When do you leave?” She questioned and before I could answer, we suddenly held Damon yell my name from downstairs.
“Luca, let’s fucking go!” He yelled and We heard Clara shush him.
“There’s a kid in this house, no cussing” She scolded him and I chuckled before Delilah pulled away fully and we both stood up from the bed.
“I’ll check up on Mia and right there with you” She said then placed a kiss on my lips before leaving the room.
I quickly brushed my teeth before going down to meet Damon and Clara. They were seated on the couch… well Damon was seated on the couch. while she sat on top of him.
“Good morning” I greeted as I walked up to them and immediately Clara was
me, she frowned.
“You look like shit” Damon pointed out, earning a slap on the chest from Clara.
“Shut up. Have you been sleeping well?” She questioned as I took a seat on the couch opposite them.
“Not really. I had a nightmare today but it felt… it felt so real. I cannot explain. My head, my whole head hurts” I commented Truthfully as I caressed my temples when I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder.
I looked up and saw Clara staring down at me kindly.

“It’s going to be okay, we are all in this together. You’re in this mess because of me and no matter how you all try to convince me that I had nothing to do with this, I cannot stop blaming myself so no matter what, we are going to help you through this” She uttered and I couldn’t help but
smile.
Despite everything, I was never going to regret making that deal with those witches because it saved Clara. I always knew she was Luna material but she was different now that she was Queen Luna. It was almost like she saw all wolves like her children and for some reason, it warmed my heart.
“Okay” Was all I could say and she smiled before walking back to Damon who was staring at her like she was a goddess.

Chapter 176
“I’m here and so is Mia!” Delilah called out with a sing–song voice as she climbed down the stairs with Mia in her arms.
Clara immediately walked over to her, hugged her sideways before grabbing Mia.
“Aren’t you the cutest?” She gushed then placed a kiss on Mia’s head as they walked towards us.
“We need to get going, Luca. The witch’s coven is a little bit far from here so we need to start this journey early so I can return to my family” Damon uttered as he stood up from the couch.
“You do know the witches hate you right? I’m not sure it’s going to be that easy to get in” I pointed out as I stood up.
“Don’t worry about me, I have my ways. Just go get ready so we can leave” He said and I nodded before going up to get ready after placing a kiss on Mia’s forehead.
It didn’t take long before I was ready to go and for some reason, I was growing nervous as the time went by. What if they refused to remove whatever they put on me? What if I have to stay like this forever?
I shook away the thought and quickly got dressed. To be the best husband and father, I needed to do everything I could to get rid of whatever spell these witches had on me.
I immediately went down and found Clara and Damon hugging while Delilah had a worried look on her face as she fed Mia. She immediately turned to me and a frown adorned her face as I walked towards her.
“I’ll be okay, trust me. Take care of yourself and Mia, okay?” I murmured and she nodded. I smiled then placed several kisses on her face and only stopped when she giggled.
“Okay that’s enough, no brother wants to see his sister’s face get eaten” Damon grumbled and I rolled my eyes.
Like he didn’t know his PDA with Clara was so much worse.
“You should both be careful, okay?” Clara said as they pulled away and he smiled down at her.
“I killed an immortal so basically, I’m a god now” He joked and she rolled her eyes but had a small smile playing on her lips.
“Let’s go” Damon said as he turned to me and I glanced one last time at Delilah before nodding at him.
I was going to come back better now matter what…
