Book 3: He Faked Missing to Start a Family with His Mistress
My husband and child were missing.
There was blood in the car, but no records at any nearby hospitals.
When I finally found them, they claimed not to know me.
When my child cried out, “Mommy, I’m sorry” I made my decision.
I would leave him.
I wouldn’t play along with this lie any longer.
Before I leave, let’s make everything return to

the way it was.

to Start a Family with His
Mistress
A month ago, on the way to a parent–child outing at my child’s kindergarten,
my husband and child mysteriously disappeared.
Up until now, they were still missing.
The police explained that, due to water accumulation on the road and the dangerous turn ahead, the tire likely slipped, causing the car to lose control and eventually fall off a cliff.
The good news was that there were only small traces of blood in the car, suggesting they weren’t seriously injured.

The bad news was that none of the nearby hospitals had any record of them seeking treatment.
In the middle of the night, I received a message from my assistant. They had finally found them!
After driving for five hours, I finally spotted the two people I had been longing to see by the lake. I quickly opened the car door and ran toward them.
In my excitement, my phone slipped from my hand and fell to the ground. I picked it up, carelessly stuffed it into my bag, and continued running.
I stretched my hand out to grab my husband Gavin Stewart’s hand.

Then, I pulled him into a tight embrace.
“Gavin! Why didn’t you call home all these days? Do you have any idea how worried I’ve been?”
Before I could ask more, the man in front of me suddenly pushed me away.
What followed was a cold, guarded look in his eyes–completely unfamiliar.
“Who are you? I don’t know you.”
A sharp pain shot up my ankle, snapping me back to reality.
“You bad woman, why are you hugging my daddy?” A small boy’s voice rang out.
I bent down, holding Noah’s shoulders to keep him at arm’s length. “Noah, didn’t

Mommy tell you not to kick people?”
Noah glared at me with fiery eyes and struggled against me. “You’re not my mommy! Let go of me!”
Gavin stepped forward and pulled me away with a firm grip. Then, he positioned himself in front of Noah, giving me a cold, dismissive look.
“Ma’am, my son didn’t mean to kick you. I apologize on his behalf. But it’s because you suddenly hugged me. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have kicked you for no reason.”
Gavin and Noah both shot me with a cold, unwavering gaze–one full of anger, the other seething with defiance.
My heart skipped a beat.

“Have you both lost your memories?” I clenched my fists tightly, staring at Gavin in shock.
Gavin and I had been together since our third year of university. We got married right after graduation and had Noah two years into our marriage.
Now, it had been ten years since we were together.
I had imagined that our relationship might go through rough patches, but I never, ever expected something as dramatic as memory loss would happen to us.
After getting a confirmed answer from Gavin, I desperately asked Noah again, “Noah, you really don’t remember Mommy?”
Noah clung to Gavin’s leg, his words flat and

emotionless. “I don’t know you.”
With that, he buried his face in Gavin’s arm.
I turned my head away, blinking rapidly to keep the tears at bay, forcing a smile as I spoke, “It’s okay, I’ll make you remember again. Come on, let’s go home first.”
Before they could respond, a girl quickly ran to stand in front of them, her eyes full of hostility as she glared at me.
“Who are you?”
“How do you prove they’re your family? Just saying so doesn’t make it true”
The girl looked somewhat familiar.
“I have pictures!”

As I reached for my phone to show them the proof, I realized it had blacked out and wouldn’t turn on.
I rubbed my temple in frustration. “My phone broke when it fell. You can come with me, I have all the proof you need at home.”
The girl sneered and eyed me up and down. “You look well–dressed, but you’re clearly crazy. Do you even remember where you live? Should I call someone to pick you up?”
I took a deep breath, steadying myself.
“Miss, first of all, I’m not asking for your opinion. Secondly, there’s no need for all this nonsense.”
The girl froze in place, seemingly processing what I’d said, her face a mix of pale and flushed.
“Ma’am, your words are truly sarcastic, but since you’re asking for my opinion, then I refuse. Please don’t bother us!”
Gavin pulled the girl into his arms, glaring at me with complete disgust.
“And Aaliyah is not only my lifesaver, but also my lover. Her opinion is mine too!”
