Scarlett’s lips curled into a slow, sinister smile.

“After all, my son is the sole heir to the family business. Naturally, I have to take good care of you*%
Hearing Scarlett’s true thoughts laid bare, their father’s face burned with fury
“You’re dreaming! Even if Azalea is abroad, she is still my daughter Our ties haven’t been severed!“%
His voice thundered through the room as he yanked out his phone. “I’m calling a lawyer right now to draft my will! When I die, you won’t get a single cent from this family!”

Before he could dial, Scarlett struck She slapped the phone from his hands with one swift motion, sending it crashing to the floor. Then, with a sharp stomp, she crushed it beneath her heel
“Dad! For twenty five years, you and Mom loved me the most. We were the real family. And now, you want to throw me away and hand everything to that useless Azalea? No chancel”
“I’ve taken care of you all these years. Even an adopted daughter has inheritance rights. You can’t strip me of what’s mine!“%
“Taken care of us? My foot!”
Her mother finally snapped.
“From the moment you were born, we spoiled yout A driver for every trip, maids catering to your every whim. Meanwhile, Azalea suffered Have you ever thought about what she went through?”
“You envied her, but she is our real daughter! If she hadn’t been switched at birth, you would’ve never lived this life!”

Scarlett had never raised her voice at her mother before. The sheer shock made her mother clutch her chest, her face draining of

Elijah hurried to fetch the medicine, but their father, trembling with fury, struck Scarlett across the face before he could return.”
“Look at what you’ve done! If anything happens to your mother, I’ll throw you out this instant!”
Scarlett had never been touched since childhood. The sting of his slap shattered the last thread of her restraint.
“You hit me…. for that worthless Azalea?“W
Her blood boiled. Without thinking, she shoved him.
Their father staggered, his footing lost. In a sickening instant, he toppled backward, his head colliding with the marble coffee table,”
A sharp crack echoed through the room.
Scarlett’s lips curled into a cold sneer. “Dad, stop pretending. I’m not letting you make that call today.”
But as the seconds stretched, something felt wrong. His eyes stared blankly, his chest unmoving. A dark pool of blood seeped from the back of his head, staining the pristine floor.
Scarlett’s breath hitched. A chill ran down her spine.

Her hands trembled as she crouched beside him, pressing her fingers against his neck. Nothing. Her pulse pounded in her ears as horror clawed at her chest.
“It wasn’t my fault… I didn’t mean to…”
Just then, Elijah returned with the medicine. The moment his eyes landed on the scene before him, he let out a blood–curdling
scream.
“Scarlett! What did you do to Dad?!”
Panic surged through her veins. She rushed to him, slapping a hand over his mouth.
On the floor, her mother, frail and gasping, crawled toward their father. The moment she registered his lifeless form, a shrill, heart–wrenching scream tore through her throat before she collapsed into unconsciousness.M
Elijah bit down hard, forcing Scarlett to release him with a sharp cry of pain.
“Mom!”

He rushed to give her the medicine, only to freeze. Her chest no longer rose and fell. Her lifeless eyes stared into nothingness.[
A chilling silence swallowed the room.
Since the incident, their father dismissed all the servants and the housekeeper, leaving only the three of them in the house: Elijah, Scarlett and the little boy.
The child’s wails pierced the suffocating stillness.
‘Scarlett! Mom and Dad gave you everything and you still killed them! I’m calling the police…”
Elijah’s voice shook with rage, his eyes bloodshot. But before he could finish, Scarlett grabbed an ashtray and swung it.
The sharp crack of impact echoed through the room.
Before he could even scream, she brought it down again. And again. Until he stopped moving.
“You really thought you belonged to Azalea? Die, you filthy man.“]
There was no escaping the death penalty now. The moment she lifted that ashtray, her fate had been sealed. So why bother caring?>
That morning, I received a call from the housekeeper.
Scarlett had set fire to the villa. She hadn’t spared anyone. Not even her own five–year–old son.“]
I was shocked but not surprised. Given her selfish, spoiled nature, this was inevitable.
Mom, Dad, Elijah, they had only themselves to blame.
Served them right.
Three months later, my legs had fully healed. I could walk again.”
I returned to the country to collect my parents‘ ashes, inheriting the shares my father left in the company.
