Chapter 182
Bertha’s face changed color in an instant.
Ophelia reacted quickly and turned her head, and saw Winford with a serious expression, striding towards her accompanied by the dean.
She’s eyes lit up, and a smile appeared on her face. “Honey!”
Winford approached and saw her appearance, and the man blocking her path made his expression darken again.
He directly took a mask from Graham’s hand behind him and, bending down, put it on her face.
“Um?” Ophelia looked up in confusion.
Winford had no expression on his face and simply said, “Wear your mask properly outside.”
She had just endured his passionate kiss in the hospital room, and the traces still lingered. Every frown and smile revealed a captivating charm, yet she remained completely unaware of it.
He saw it, but he was not happy.
Ophelia didn’t know what he was thinking, but she listened to him and obediently said “oh.”
Seeing her obedient demeanor, Winford’s expression softened slightly. He glanced to the side, his gaze briefly passing over Bertha, and his voice turned a bit colder, “What is going on here? Hmm?”
“Mr. Winford…”

At the moment Bertha arrived in Winford, she quickly got up, deeply lowering her head. Just moments before, she had been performing energetically in front of Ophelia, but now she dared not utter a word in front of Winford. The two words she managed to say could not conceal.
the fear within her.
Ophelia said coolly, “Bertha just knelt down and begged me to spare her and her daughter, saying that it was really too much to drive Elva out of our house! I didn’t agree, and she wouldn’t get up!”
Winford’s gaze was cold. “Isn’t this already up?”
Bertha’s temples were covered in cold sweat.
“The order was given by me. If you think the treatment of Elva was too lenient, feel free to come to me!”
Leaving behind a cold warning, the man bent down and directly picked up the girl from the wheelchair, striding towards the car.
Ophelia leaned on his shoulder and glanced back. Bertha stood there with a pale face, not daring to catch up.
This was the power of her husband.
The uninjured foot of hers swayed slowly in the air..
However, when she got into the car and left, she unconsciously glanced back and found that Bertha’s complexion was not as bad as she had thought. It seemed as if she had already achieved her goal for the day, and she didn’t even wipe the blood from her forehead…
But wasn’t she trying to plead for her daughter Elva? Winford didn’t budge at all, so how could she achieve her goal?
Ophelia slightly squinted her eyes.

She was deep in thought when she suddenly heard Winford speak, asking the co–pilot Graham-
“Graham, explain why you appeared at Ventura University today.”
She suddenly came to her senses.
Graham took a day off today to help her with her work. I wonder if her husband was angry!
Graham also jolted a bit, feeling somewhat guilty. “Well, um, I was helping the lady with something…”
However, Ophelia had only asked him to take Bertha to Ventura University. He had no idea what was going on until he arrived at the scene and heard the students discussing it. Only then did he realize that their wife had been arranged in such a way at the school!
How could he just sit by and do nothing? After he probably understood what was going on, he got a microphone from the side…
“Graham did a great job!” Ophelia hurriedly spoke up, seriously saying, “If it weren’t for him, the people at school would still be calling me a mistress! Honey, you can’t say anything bad about him; not only can you not say anything, but you also have to give him a bonus!”
Winford glanced at her, noncommittal.
Without Graham, she couldn’t clarify things? Not necessarily. Just look at her calm demeanor at that time; it was clear that she had everything arranged well in advance.
Ophelia’s beautiful eyes met his, innocent and clear.
With a light snort, Winford ultimately did not say anything further, but told Graham, “As for the bonus, you can handle it yourself later.”
His finances were mostly managed by Graham.
Graham instantly breathed a sigh of relief and happily said, “Thank you, Mr. Winford!”
The car drove to the apartment.
On the other side.
Glenda had been living in the church for a while.
She heard people say that this church was very spiritual, so she specifically moved in to pray for her grandson.
This was the only church in Minston, and the conditions were very simple, but Glenda didn’t mind at all.
Even though she knew that her grandson’s illness was beyond cure, she still refused to give up any glimmer of hope.
