Chapter 19 My Husband Is Handsome
“Ophelia, are you planning to go back by taxi?”
“No way, no way! Your husband doesn’t even have a car?”
Hearing their mocking tone, Ophelia lazily looked up.
“Whether my husband has a car or not, is that anything to do with you.
guys? Just mind your own business. Why are you so concerned about my husbands?”
Someone just passed by and heard this. He glanced at Bessie and her friends with a surprising look.
“You!” The girl speaking blushed, not knowing if she was embarrassed or angry. “Who cares about your husband? Your husband doesn’t even have a car. Who would care about that useless man?”
Ophelia’s lips twitched. She showed a strange expression for a moment.
Mr. Winford was a useless man and didn’t even have a car?
If Winford heard about this, what reaction would he have?
Ophelia glanced at Bessie.
These people didn’t know who she married, but Bessie knew. How could they misunderstand? They also believed she married a useless and poor man. It must have something to do with Bessie.
It seemed her stepsister really wanted to see her suffer.
“Let me clarify it.” Ophelia lifted her chin, looking proud and confident.
Chapter 19 My Husband is Handsome
“My husband is very handsome, more handsome than anyone here. I don’t know how many cars he has, but there are definitely more than what you have in your garage! Of course, you wouldn’t care about him, because your have no position to judge him!”
Bessie’s friend said, “That’s hilarious! He has so many cars? Then why doesn’t he come to pick you up? You still need to take a taxi home!”
Ophelia was about to speak, but suddenly…
“Mrs. Pruitt.”
A voice came from behind.
Ophelia turned around in surprise and saw Graham standing respectfully behind her.
She was surprised. “Why are you here?”
“Of course, I’m here to pick you up.” He indicated the car behind him.
Ophelia glanced over, her eyes widening in surprise.
The car window wasn’t fully closed, and she could see a figure in the back. seat. She immediately recognized it as Winford!
Ophelia was surprised, and her face turned red.
She spoke so loudly just now. Did he hear it?
“Mrs. Pruitt, please get in the car,” Graham said.
Other people were stunned, looking at the well–dressed, respectful Graham, and then at the car.
“My husband came to pick me up, goodbye!” Ophelia said without hesitation.

She walked quickly towards the car.
Graham opened the car door for her.
Just as she was about to get in, Ophelia suddenly stopped and said, “Bessie, you’ve clearly met my husband before, and you know who he is. Why do you still let them talk like that?”
After saying this, Ophelia got into the back seat and closed the door.
Watching the car drive away, the girls were stunned and suspicious..
Bessie’s eyes were filled with shock and jealousy.
She saw that the person in the back seat was Mr. Winford!
Mr. Winford actually came to pick up Ophelia himself?
How could Ophelia deserve it!
“What did she just mean? Did you deceive us?” Bessie’s friends suddenly asked with angry expressions.
They doubted the issue of the dress just now, so they didn’t quite trust. Bessie.
“No…” Bessie hurriedly denied it.
“No? Do you think we’re stupid? Didn’t you say Ophelia’s husband is very poor? You think this is poor?!”
They didn’t know other things about Ophelia’s husband, but that car was not something they could buy with money!
“I didn’t say he is poor,” Bessie said aggrievedly. “I just said his situation is not very convenient to reveal…”
My Husband in
Her eyes flickered. “I can’t tell you the details. I can only tell you that he is not convenient to appear in public, and his reputation is not good. Many girls don’t want to marry him. Ophelia had an engagement, so she had to marry him.”
These people were led by Bessie again.
Could it be that Ophelia’s husband was a rich but ugly or disabled man?
It was very possible! Otherwise, why wouldn’t he get out of the car just
now?
On the car.
“Why do you come to pick me up? I can take a taxi back. It’s not far.”
Ophelia looked at the man next to her. She was shy but also happy.
“It’s OK. It’s on the way,” Winford said.
“When did you come?” Ophelia whispered.
Winford was silent for a moment and said in a delicate way, “When you
refuted them.”
Oh no!
Ophelia felt her head was about to explode, her cheeks burning fiercely. She panicked and looked up.
“You…Did you hear it all?!”
“Yeah.”
Winford’s deep eyes stared at the girl next to him. He thought of her defending him proudly, a slight itch in his heart. He felt Ophelia was so adorable.
Chapter 19 My Husband is Handsome
Ophelia was too nervous to look at Winford. She pretended to be calm and said, “I didn’t say anything wrong. My husband is very handsome…”
Ophelia didn’t want to continue this awkward topic. Before Winford could speak, she opened the box she was holding, revealing a thick stack of documents inside, and showed them off to Winford.
“Look, my achievement today!”
Seeing her embarrassment, Winford responded, “What is it?”
“The shares of the company that my mom left me. I got them back from my stepmother!” Ophelia said proudly, looking at Winford expectantly.
Winford immediately understood her meaning. He nodded and said, “You did it great.”
Ophelia wanted his praise, but when she really heard these words, her ears burned again. Ophelia was shy and turned her head away. “It’s actually not very great. I was very stupid before, so they deceived me and took my things away…”
Winford looked at her beautiful profile. “But now you’re not stupid anymore. You’re very smart.”
The vibe in the car unconsciously became ambiguous.
Graham, in the passenger seat, felt he should disappear from the car.
Hearing Winford’s praise, Ophelia was shy. She solemnly put the box in Winford’s arms.
“Take this.”
“What?”
“Take it as my dowry.” Her face turned red. “I also want to give you
something else…But this is the most valuable thing I have now.
As she said this, her tone dropped, her voice gradually disappearing.
Infinity Entertainment is a well–known company in the industry, but it couldn’t compare to Winford’s assets at all. Many people would covet this gift, but it was not valuable to Winford.
“Give it to me?” Winford was slightly stunned.
In these twenty–seven years of his life, he received countless gifts, but nothing could compare to this stack of papers. He was deeply moved by it.
Because this was almost all Ophelia had.
But she gave it to him without hesitation.
Seeing he didn’t speak, Ophelia patted her chest and promised, “When I become rich in the future, I will definitely give you better!”
If someone else said this in front of Winford, it would only make him laugh.
Money? This was the last thing Winford lacked.
But looking at the girl’s sincere and clear eyes, Winford didn’t feel funny but was so moved.
