Chapter218
As soon as they met, the well–informed Lucy mysteriously shared the gossip she had just found out with her.
“Big backing?” Ophelia wondered.
“I had mentioned to you before that our school was going to have a transfer student coming from Kingchester, someone with a very
impressive background. Do you remember?” Hannah stood with her arms. crossed, “That is the support that Bessie found.”
“Oh?” Ophelia raised her eyebrows, showing some interest. “Tell me more, what is this transfer student all about?”
Ten minutes later, Ophelia understood what was going on.
The transfer student from Kingchester was named Adalynn Estrada, and she came from a prestigious family in Kingchester, truly a genuine heiress.
ya
I didn’t know why she had run all the way from Kingchester to here, nor did I know how Bessie had come to know the other person. In any case, at that moment, the two of them were walking together and seemed to have a very good relationship.
“It turned out to be like this.” Ophelia listened and showed little change on her face.
Lucy and Hannah were a bit worried. “You and Bessie were like that before… Now she has found a backer and is making such a high–profile return to Ventura University. She seems to be up to no good. What if she causes you trouble?”
Although Ophelia’s husband seemed very impressive, that Adalynn came from Kingchester!
The prestigious family of Minston and the prestigious family of Kingchester, could they be of the same level?
Seeing their worried expressions, Ophelia felt both touched and amused, but Winford’s identity made it inconvenient for her to say much. She could only reply, “Don’t worry, it’s fine. If she dares to come and provoke me, who knows who will end up crying and begging for mercy!”
She didn’t pay much attention to this matter, but she didn’t expect that Bessie was so impatient.
That afternoon, she went to the newly opened cafeteria at school with Lucy, Hannah, and her cousin Lenora, intending to try the dishes that were said to be very delicious.
The new cafeteria was crowded, and a few people were getting ready to line up when Lenora suddenly pulled her and whispered, “Cousin, Bessie!”
Ophelia looked along her line of sight-
Not far away, a group of people entered the restaurant in a high–profile manner. Among them, the girl at the front, dressed in luxurious clothing and exuding an air of superiority, was likely Adalynn from Kingchester.
And beside Adalynn was none other than Bessie!
Bessie had obviously noticed her as well and suddenly whispered something to Adalynn.
In the next moment, Adalynn’s gaze immediately shifted over, casting a hostile look at Ophelia. Then, accompanied by a group of people behind her, she walked straight over.
“Are you Ophelia?”
She held her chin up proudly, looking down on Ophelia with great
disdain.
With such a grand display, the people around immediately stepped aside, clearly afraid of offending Adalynn–apparently, even though she had just arrived, her identity was already well–known.
“Cousin…” Lenora tightened her grip on Ophelia’s hand, while Lucy and Hannah cautiously stepped forward.
Ophelia, however, remained unfazed and comforted her cousin with a few words: “It’s okay.”
Then she casually raised her eyes and said, “Yes, I am Ophelia. Is there something you need?”
Adalynn looked her up and down with a disdainful gaze, feeling jealous of Ophelia’s appearance. When she spoke again, her tone was even more unfriendly.
“Is it that you bullied Bessie and forced her to leave Ventura University?”
Bullying others by taking advantage of one’s power?
