“Did something happen to you, cousin?” Lenora became alert, as she was very concerned about Ophelia’s unusual behavior, fearing that something might be wrong with her.
“Nothing, nothing!” Ophelia hurriedly said, “I just thought of something else and got a bit distracted. What did you just say? I didn’t hear it, could you say it again?”
“Oh, it’s nothing serious, I just wanted to ask if you had some time. I was going to take you to see the excitement!”
As she spoke towards the end, Lenora’s tone became a bit more excited.
Ophelia asked curiously, “What was the commotion?”
Lenora said, “I just passed by the Pruitt family and saw that their house was in an uproar. It was so lively, and Cullen was getting beaten badly! Cousin, do you want to go see? I already found a good spot!”
Ophelia:

How could one not watch the excitement of that deadbeat Cullen?
Seeing him in such a miserable state, she could eat two more bowls of rice!
She turned to run inside to say something to Winford, but when she thought of the man’s deep–set eyes, her heart skipped a beat.
I happened to see Graham and said, “I’m going out for a while to find
Nora. Please let Mr. Winford know!”
After saying that, he turned around and ran away.
Lenora discovered the lively atmosphere of the Pruitt family because the Whitaker family also had a property there, and she happened to come over to pick up something.
Coincidentally, standing on the third–floor balcony of her house, one could just see the scene of the Pruitt family.
“Cousin, come over here!” Lenora found the best angle on the balcony and quickly waved to Ophelia.

“What are you hitting our son for?!” Sienna screamed as she rushed over to protect her son, who had fallen to the ground. Her hair and makeup were a mess. “Wasn’t this idea supposed to be a joint decision? Now that
something has happened, you’re going to blame Cullen?!”
“You still protect him! Your son has been spoiled by you! If it weren’t for your foolishness, mother and son, offending Ophelia, how could our family have ended up in this situation today?!”
Sienna glared with anger, “Was I the only one who looked down on Ophelia back then?! Didn’t you also think poorly of that foolish girl who was raised poorly by her stepmother after losing her biological mother?!”
The couple had argued until their voices were hoarse, almost ready to come to blows. Cullen sat dazed on the ground, his face pale and dejected, completely oblivious to everything around him.
