Chapter374
The others immediately looked at Ophelia. their expressions either gloating or sympathetic.
Wade was very protective, especially fond of and supportive of the student Isabelle. Ophelia had just embarrassed Isabelle yesterday, and today Wade specifically requested to meet someone. It was easy to guess that it wouldn’t be something good.
Ophelia looked normal and said, “Okay.”
Ten minutes later, Ophelia met Wade.
In his forties or fifties, wearing glasses, he appeared as a strict middle- aged man.
But when he saw Isabelle, his gaze softened a bit, “You’re here.”
Isabelle nodded respectfully, “Teacher”
The others greeted, “Mr. Cooley.”
Wade nodded, and then his gaze fell on Ophelia.
“Is this Ophelia, the student who just arrived yesterday?”
The tone was somewhat cold, and a stern gaze swept over Ophelia, giving her a great deal of pressure.
Ophelia, however, didn’t even furrow her brows. Having been by Winford’s side for a long time, what is a little pressure?
“Yes, Mr. Cooley, I understand,” she nodded without changing her

expression.
Wade was clearly dissatisfied with her. He snorted coldly and, in front of everyone, said directly-
“I heard that you scored a perfect mark, so you were very arrogant and didn’t even care about Isabelle, the top student at the Medical School. But how did you achieve such results, I won’t investigate, nor will I ask Ms. Wilson who is still in Kingchester. You know it in your own heart!”
“Furthermore, there is a molto in National Medical School, which is to be humble in learning and to be friendly with fellow students. I hope you can remember that I don’t want yesterday’s incident to happen again!”
The room was silent, and no one dared to speak, all looking at Ophelia with subtle eyes.
It seems that Wade really dislikes her, otherwise he wouldn’t have directly implied in front of everyone that her grades were fake, and even warned. her not to target Isabelle anymore!
If others were targeted like this, they would probably feel ashamed and angry, unable to
lift their heads, and obediently listen to the reprimand.
But Ophelia was not that kind of person.
She lifted her eyelids and looked at Wade, who had a cold expression on his face, and said directly.
“I had two questions.”
“First, did Mr. Cooley see me cheating with his own eyes? Or is there any evidence?”
“If there is evidence, please present it. If there is no evidence, is it not inappropriate for an assistant dean to speak out and make baseless speculations?”
Caperdia
“Secondly, what did I do wrong yesterday? Shouldn’t I have said that I am Harriet’s daughter? But that was the truth, what couldn’t be said about it?”
Or is it that Mr. Cooley is angry because I made your student feel wronged, so now you are using the power of the assistant dean to seek revenge and reprimand me?
The air was filled with silence.
Everyone looked at Ophelia in disbelief, surprised to see how brave she
was!
This was Wade!
“You!” Wade’s face turned pale, “Ophelia! Who gave you the audacity to speak to me like this?!”
Ophelia stood straight, her face unchanged, “Why couldn’t I speak like this?”
Wade angrily slammed the book in his hand onto the table, “Do you even know how to respect your teachers and follow the principles of righteousness?”
Ophelia blinked her beautiful eyes and said, “I know, but it’s already this era. Shouldn’t teachers let go of personal grudges and intentionally target me? Is National Medical School really that conservative?”
Wade almost fainted!
“Ophelia!” Isabelle said sternly, “You–”
“Please, do not speak,” Ophelia interrupted with a half–smile, “Are you, as a beneficiary, now intending to accuse me?“
