Chapter 45 Ophelia’s Little Tricks
Ophelia was sitting on the sofa provided for customers to rest, her legs. elegantly crossed, engrossed in fiddling with her phone, completely ignoring their intentions.
Gianna: “Ophelia!”
Ophelia raised her stunningly beautiful face and lazily asked, “Is there something?”
“Come here quickly, it’s time to pay!”
“You paid, what does it have to do with me?” Ophelia raised an eyebrow and asked in confusion.
Gianna and a few of her classmates exchanged glances, snorted coldly, and suddenly pushed the clothes they had chosen toward the counter.
“We had already cut off the tags from the clothes, and we had to buy them today!”
Gianna looked at Ophelia with pride.
Hmph, as if she didn’t know what she was up to! She heard everything from the conversation between that servant and the shop assistant while she was in the fitting room!
The rule in the store was that once the tag was cut, it could not be returned or exchanged.
Ophelia actually made the servants and shop assistants say that she
wouldn’t pay and that they should return the items themselves at that time.

Ah, now she had cut off all the tags, and Ophelia found it impossible not to pay!
Ophelia looked at Gianna’s silly appearance and couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
She crossed her arms and leaned back, saying, “I told you, Gianna, are you out of your mind? You bought the stuff yourself, you paid for it, can’t you understand?”
Gianna’s expression changed suddenly.
What did Ophelia want to do?!
She didn’t have any money! Ophelia didn’t help pay, so what would happen to these clothes?!
The clerk glanced at Ophelia, then at Gianna, who had been speaking so grandly earlier. The smile faded a bit as the clerk urged Gianna, “Miss, would you like to pay in cash or by card?”
Gianna looked a bit upset. “I didn’t bring any money; I just asked you to help me pay for it first. I would pay you back later!”
Ophelia remained unmoved: “Really? Then return what you owe me first. I ‘helped‘ you quite a few times before, and you haven’t paid me back even once. Altogether, it should be over ten million, right? Just round it down. and give me back ten million!”
“-You want to give me ten million?!” Gianna instantly lost her voice and widened her eyes.
Ophelia looked at her with a half–smile and asked, “What’s wrong? Is there a problem?”
Gianna almost blurted out, “Why should I return it?”

Ophelia had never intended to pay back the money she had helped with before!
Moreover, Ophelia had never asked her for it, so didn’t that imply that she accepted it as a gift? Why did she suddenly want it back?!
“You weren’t really planning not to return it, were you?” Ophelia narrowed her eyes slightly.
Immediately, the shop assistants looked at Gianna with a somewhat strange gaze, revealing a clear disdain.
Just a moment ago, she was so generous that she let several of her classmates pick and choose freely, and she even thought she was using her own money!
Gianna’s expression was somewhat strained. “It’s not that I’m not going to pay you back; it’s just that it’s not convenient for me right now! Please help me cover this time, and I’ll pay you back when I get home!”
Ophelia said bluntly, “Do I look like a fool?”
In the past, she hadn’t returned it, so how could I expect her to return it later?
Gianna choked.
Ophelia leisurely said, “Sorry, I don’t believe you. Please pay for yourself this time!”
The clerk immediately smiled at Gianna, waiting for her to make the payment.
Gianna was so angry that she almost spat blood.

Gianna broke out in a cold sweat, and her face began to turn pale.
Ophelia chuckled softly.
Gianna heard it and suddenly realized something. She turned her head sharply and said angrily, “-You did it on purpose!”
Ophelia smiled, tilted her head, and said in a sweet voice, “Sorry, what did you say? I couldn’t understand.”
Gianna was exasperated. “You did it on purpose! You deliberately tricked me into cutting off the tag-”
“When did I ever lie to you? If you are referring to what Lily said to the shop assistant, then that’s exactly what I meant. I never intended to pay for you; you were the one who thought you were clever and cut off the price tag. How is that my fault?”
Gianna was left speechless.
The shop assistant smiled and subtly urged, “Miss?”
Gianna was so anxious that she was sweating.
One hundred forty–four thousand was nothing for Ophelia, but it was not a small amount for her; she simply couldn’t come up with it!
She shot a resentful glance at Ophelia, gritted her teeth, and turned to a few classmates, saying, “I didn’t bring any money today, so let’s split the bill for now!”

She glared at the mastermind behind it all with hatred.

Ophelia looked up from her phone, her voice clear and pleasant as she lazily interrupted, “You better think of a solution quickly. The store clerk is already calling the manager. If you don’t pay soon, you might find yourself online tomorrow. I wonder how the media would write it? ‘Ms. Conrad flaunts wealth at a luxury store, but ends up unable to pay the bill?“”
Gianna’s face turned alternately pale and red.
She glared at those stingy classmates with anger and had to run to the side to call home.
“What? Over a million?!”
