Someone of Mr. Winford’s status would not have cared about such a small amount of eighty million!
But if he had known that Ophelia had forced her family to the brink of despair for eighty million, would he still have liked such a cold–hearted woman?
Ophelia didn’t wait long before she saw Samuel and Erin being brought in by someone.
“Mr. Winford!”
The two people smiled and bowed obsequiously.
Ophelia did not get up or speak, she sat lazily next to Winford, quietly playing with his bony fingers.
Suddenly, the back of her hand felt warm, and the man’s large hand wrapped around hers, trapping her hand and preventing her from moving.
Winford divided his attention, giving eight points to the mischievous girl beside him and only two points to deal with the Greene couple.
“Did you two come for something important?”
Samuel did not feel that Winford was cold; in fact, he was quite taken aback that Winford took the initiative to ask him eight words!
“The family company encountered some difficulties and wanted to ask Mr. Winford for help…”
Ophelia raised her eyes and understood.

Ophelia instantly perked up, her little face serious.
“Did her husband forget the promise he made to her?”

Just as Samuel was about to say that there was nothing else, Erin suddenly spoke up, her tone sorrowful-
“I wanted to ask Mr. Winford to make a decision on something!”
Ophelia’s eyes narrowed slightly.
This woman was probably coming for her!
Her intuition was indeed correct; the next moment, she heard Erin say-
“My family was almost driven to death by Ophelia! I begged Mr. Winford. to take care of her!”
“Oh?” Winford raised his eyes, deep as a cold pool, and his emotions. showed a noticeable fluctuation. “What happened?”
Erin felt a surge of joy in her heart, wiped the corners of her reddened eyes with a handkerchief, and said bitterly, “My family owed Ophelia a bit of money, and we never said we wouldn’t pay it back. But Ophelia went too far, not only did she throw my elderly mother to the ground, but she also forced her uncle to sell the company to pay off the debt!”
The voice was choked with emotion. “Her uncle’s family lost their company and their place to live, they almost ended up homeless! She’s trying to drive them to death!”
Erin looked haggard, her eyes were red, as if she had been driven to a dead end by Ophelia and had no choice but to seek out Winford.
“That’s right, this dead girl, how good has Erin been to her over the years? This is how she repaid her!” Samuel also spoke up, still holding a grudge against Ophelia for not helping just now, as well as for the incident that had angered him during their phone call earlier.
Looking at the two people in front of her, Ophelia sneered coldly in her heart.
He cast his gaze towards Erin.
Ah, this woman finally stopped pretending? She thought she would have to pretend to be a good stepmother for a lifetime!

She spoke without any courtesy: “I said, Erin, why didn’t you mention how much your brother’s family owes me? Why didn’t you mention how they ‘borrowed‘ money from me?”
“I forced him to sell the company? Why didn’t he think about why he had to sell the company to pay back the money he owed me? Since he didn’t. have the confidence to repay, why did he ‘borrow‘ from me in the first place? What was his family really calculating?”
“They didn’t say they wouldn’t pay it back“? That cracks me up! If I had waited honestly, I probably would have been waiting until they were six feet under and still wouldn’t have seen my money back!”
