Chapter 7%
So when I found out they were trying IVF to have a set of twins–a boy and a girl–I made sure to be ready.”
And now, watching their stunned faces as I pointed out the names on the property transfer contract–the shock hit them like a freight train.
The assets weren’t going to Billy or Denise. They were going to my legal children.
Which meant… I had just moved the money from one hand to the other.>
They got nothing.”
And since I’d already divorced Billy and cut ties with those ungrateful brats, they wouldn’t see a single penny.
The four of them were completely shell–shocked.”
“This can’t be real!” Billy yelled.
He lunged for a pen, trying to change the ID number on the document–to sneak in his kids‘ names.>
I laughed. “There are four identical copies of this agreement. You think scribbling on your copy is going to change anything?“}
“You–you–Crystal, you’re despicable!” Billy’s face twisted in rage, eyes burning.
“Oh please,” I said, grinning wide. “If we’re talking despicable, I’m still lightyears behind you.“}
I pulled out the divorce papers. “Thank you so much for signing these. We’re officially done. Oh and by the way–those last few grand in your account? I already took that too.”
I could’ve danced right then and there. But hey, being the richest woman in the city, I had to maintain some decorum.}
Truth is, ever since my last life, I’d been waiting to divorce this man.
But back then, if I’d filed for divorce, even a few billion in assets would’ve meant I had to give up a couple hundred million–maybe more.
And honestly? I wasn’t even willing to give him a single dime, not even a few bucks.
Let’s not forget–last time around, they destroyed me. Completely ruined my life. Even dragged my parents down with me.
So no, I wasn’t going to let them off easy.
I spent eighteen years planning my revenge.}
Not just to make Billy leave with nothing, but to completely crush him–and those two spoiled, thankless brats–and Denise. All of them.
They were going down.”
Those two kids of his? I’d already ruined them. Lazy, spoiled, no work ethic, self–centered, overweight and weak, violent tendencies, zero discipline…
They were in for a real rough future.
After I confirmed all my assets were locked down and protected, Billy and Denise collapsed into the chairs like deflated balloons.
Their precious children looked just as drained–faces pale and lifeless.}
Even the security guards nearby had gone ghost–white.”
The whole room went still. Not a sound.
Then I noticed the looks–the stunned admiration and deep respect in everyone’s eyes as they turned to me.”
A woman with wealth, power and the patience to wait eighteen years just to strike?}
Yeah, no one wanted to mess with someone like that.)
“You kept this from us all this time?” my father said as a few relatives helped escort him out, tears streaming down his face. “You and your wits.” A grin broke across his face.”
My mom laughed, eyes glistening. “Watch your blood pressure, old man. You’re not supposed to get too emotional, remember?“}
She called someone over to take him home to rest.
Then came the voice.
“Crystal… Honey…”
Billy took a few deep breaths and tried to pull himself together.}
There it was–regret flickering in his eyes. He forced out a smile, hoping to salvage what little he could. “Honey everything before, it was just jokes. You know me. I’d never really hurt you.“!
“Yeah, Mom,” said Chloe, the ungrateful brat, suddenly all sweet and clingy as she latched onto my arm. “It was just jokes. I love… we love you. You’re the one who raised us. You’re my real mom.”
Then Caleb–the other snake–turned around and slapped Denise across the face.
“You bitch,” he spat. “You’re nothing but a stray dog our family fed out of pity. And you dared to bite your master? Got some nerve on you.“!
Denise froze, completely stunned. She never expected her own son to strike her. She glared at him like she wanted to murder him on the spot, but Billy caught her hand and gave it a firm squeeze, silently telling her to back down.
“Get lost.”
I shoved Chloe off me like she was something sticky on my sleeve.”
