I couldn’t help but chuckle when I saw Rosa and Elena’s shocked faces
“This is Chase Bellaire,” I said, smiling sweetly. “My husband. He agreed to take my surname.”
“You’re lying!” Rosa shouted, jumping up.
“You hired someone to pretend!” Elena screamed, her face red with anger.2
I stayed calm and pulled out the marriage certificate from my bag. “Here. Take a look.”
The lawyer collected it and checked carefully. The room was silent.Il
After a few tense seconds, he cleared his throat and said, “It’s legitimate,”
“What?” Rosa and Elena yelled at the same time.
“You paid him, didn’t you?” Rosa hissed, pointing at Chase.
“Tell us how much she gave you. We’ll double it!” Elena snapped. “No, triple it! Divorce her and walk away!”
Chase smiled warmly. He slipped his arm around my waist and pulled me close.
“Olivia is my wife,” he said calmly. “Her business is my business now. You’ll have to deal with it.”
I felt butterflies flutter in my stomach as I looked at him, His hand resting protectively on my waist made my heart beat faster.
“You won’t get away with this!” Rosa barked &
“You’re desperate!” Elena added. “You just found a random man and married him! What a joke!”
I turned to face them. My voice was steady. Tm not going to let any part of my father’s legacy fall into your hands. Not after everything you took from me… including my mother.”

Elena crossed her arms. “You don’t even know this man! How could you marry him just like e that? Your ex dumped you, and now you’re pretending to be happy?”
The lawyer cleared his throat again. “There’s no place in the will that says she must marry someone she knows. Only that she must be married. Her marriage is legal. Therefore, she can claim her inheritance.”
Rosa and Elena’s faces twisted in fury.
“This isn’t over!” Rosa shouted.”
“We’ll see how you live with him for one year!” Elena sneered. “He’ll leave you in two days!”
The lawyer looked at me seriously, “You understand, Olivia? You must stay married for one year and live in the same house. If you divorce before that, you lose everything.”

I glanced at Chase. He smiled at me and said, “It’s fine.”
Elena and Rosa stomped out angrily, slamming the door behind them.8
I turned back to the lawyer and quickly finalized the paperwork.
After signing the last document, it was official. My father’s company is mine now.9
Outside the office, I tumed to Chase.
“Thank you so much,” I said sincerely. “You don’t know how much this means to me“>
He gave me a small smile. “You’re welcome.”
“Let me drop you home,” I offered. “I need to go to the company and put things in order anyway.”
Chase shook his head. “It’s okay, I can find my way.”
I frowned. “Are you sure? I don’t mind.”
“I’m sure,” he said with a chuckle. “Besides, I think you have bigger battles to fight.”

I laughed lightly. “Maybe. But listen, if you want, I can get you a job at my company. You can earn
Chase’s eyes lit up. “That would be nice”
He paused, then looked at me seriously. “Why are you still being nice? You’ve gotten what you wanted. Most people would’ve just left”
I smiled. “Because you’re helping me too. And… I really want to help you. You and Rose deserve a good life.”
He nodded slowly, his eyes soft. “Thank you, Olivia. You have a kind heart.“1.

He waved and watched as I was driven away.
I leaned back against the seat, feeling a mix of relief and nervousness. Everything was happening so fast, but I knew I was doing the right thing.
When we arrived at the company, I stepped out of the car, feeling determined. I was ready to start a new chapter, ready to fix everything Rosa and Elena had tried to ruin.
But as I walked into my office, my steps froze.E
There, sitting comfortably on the sofas like they owned the place, were Rosa and Elena
