Chapter 15 – Leave My Mommy Alone!!
I rushed to Rose as she sat crying on the mall floor, her small body shaking.
I dropped to my knees and hugged her tightly.
“It’s okay, sweetheart. Mommy’s here,” I whispered, stroking her hair.
The woman she had bumped into spun around, ready to yell again.
My eyes widened when I saw her face.
“Elena?” I breathed out in shock.&
Elena looked furious She lifted her hand like she wanted to hit Rosell
I grabbed her wrist mid–air
“Don’t you dare lay a finger on my daughter!” I said sharply.
Elena yanked her hand back “Your daughter? Which brat is this, Olivia? Look what she did to my expensive dress!“)
I stood up, keeping Rose behind me.”
“I buy you ten of that same dress if it means that much to you. But don’t you ever call my daughter a brat again.” Elena blinked, clearly not expecting my words.
“Your daughter?” she sneered. “You? Olivia? You don’t even have a child. You’re barren=”

A sharp, satisfying sound filled the air
Elena gasped, holding her face, completely stunned.”
For a second, everything froze
Then Elena’s voice broke the silence.
“She slapped me! She’s bullying me! She’s gone crazy!” she cried dramatically, drawing attention from passersby
Cynthia rushed over and knelt beside Rose, hugging her protectively.
Just then, Rosa walked toward us, holding a pretty pink dress.
She stopped when she saw the scene.!!
Her smile dropped &
“What’s going on here?” Rosa demanded X
“She slapped me!” Elena wailed, pointing at me.
Rosa’s eyes darkened. She dropped the dress and marched towards me, her hand raised.
Before she could touch me, Cynthia stepped between us.”
“Don’t even think about it,” Cynthia said coldly. “I don’t work for you anymore. You lay a hand on her, and I’ll break it Rosa scoffed. “You’re still just a nanny, Cynthia. Know your place“}
Cynthis didn’t back down
Meanwhile, Rosa’s eyes finally noticed the little girl clinging to my leg.
She frowned.
“Who’s this?” Rosa asked sharply.
Before I could answer, Elena laughed bitterly.!!
“Looks like Olivia picked up a street urchin. Poor thing can’t have her own baby, so she has to adopt one off the streets ” Rosa chuckled coldly!
“First you buy yourself a homeless husband, now you buy yourself a child. What’s next, Olivia? Buying happiness too?“!
Elena added, “Though no amount of money will ever fill the emptiness inside you.”
They both laughed together, their voices cruel and loud.
I took a deep breath and smiled at them
“I’m actually very happy,” I said calmly. “Happier than you both can ever imagine. I have a wonderful family and enough money to live comfortably for ten lifetimes. Can either of you say the same?”
Elena’s face twisted in anger.
“You’re delusional she snapped. “You’ll never be truly happy. You’ll always be the pathetic, lonely Olivia we all know!”
“I’m not lonely” I said, bending down to lift Rose into my arms. “I have a family now”
“And I’m here to shop.” I continued smoothly, “not argue with people who can’t even afford to window–shop here.”
Elena’s face turned red with rage

But suddenly, Rose lifted her small head from my shoulder

She wiped her tears with her little fists and looked straight at Elena and Rosa
“Don’t talk to my mommy like that” Rose shouted.
The entire store went silent.
Even Elena and Rosa froze, blinking in shock.
Rose pushed herself away from my arms and stood firmly in front of me, tiny fists clenched at her sides..
“My mommy is the best mommy ever!” Rose said loudly: “She loves me and she loves Daddy too! And we love her more than anything!”
A few customers nearby started murmuring.
Some smiled at Rose. Others shot glares at Elena and Rosa.
Elena’s mouth opened and closed like a fish, no words coming out.
Rosa looked uncomfortable, shifting from foot to foot
I stared at Rose, my heart aching with pride and love.
Cynthia grinned proudly too, clapping her hands softly for Rose.
“She’s amazing.” Cynthia whispered to me..
“She is,” I whispered back, blinking rapidly to keep the tears from falling.
But the moment wasn’t over yeL:
Elena’s face twisted in fury again!
“You teach your brat to talk back now, Olivia?” she spat. “No wonder she’s as wild as you!”
Rose frowned deeply
“My mommy is not wild! You’re the bad people!”
Rosa hissed under her breath.
“Olivia, you think this changes anything? You’re still a joke. You and your fake family.”
I smiled calmly at them.”
“We’ll see who’s the joke soon enough,” I said, picking Rose up again.
„Just as I turned to walk away, Chase’s voice rang across the mall.
“There’s no need to argue with trash, Olivia.“I
I turned sharply, my heart thudding.
Standing not far from us was Chase.
But not the ragged, homeless–looking Chase from before.
This Chase was different–Z
Tall, confident, in a sleek black designer suit, looking every inch a man of power!
My mouth fell open in shock
So did Elena’s and Rosa’s.
“Who–7″ Elena started, her voice shaking.
Chase smirked as he walked toward us, his eyes locked on mine.!!
