Chapter 23
Reina had taken Xavier’s phone. With no way to contact the outside world, he was completely at her mercy.
He swallowed the risotto. His voice was laced with resentment as he said, “I hate you, Reina Yarrow!”
A flash of pain crossed Reina’s eyes. The risotto in her hand spilled.
She crouched down to clean up the mess. When she looked up again, the indifferent expression was back in place. “I’d rather you hate me than let you go back to being with Sarah. Stay with me, and I won’t treat you badly.”
After breakfast, a group of Reina’s assistants rushed into Xavier’s room.
“Mr. Caldwell, please choose a suit and come downstairs. Ms. Yarrow is waiting for you on the beach.”
“Get out!” Xavier yelled.
“Mr. Caldwell, Ms. Yarrow has ordered the latest watch for you. Would you like to try it on?”
“No!” He frowned and snapped sharply, “Get out! Don’t bother me!”
The assistants, frightened by his outburst, quickly left.
Xavier lay back on the bed to rest, but soon he heard her voice. “Didn’t you promise your students you’d update your course material every day? Get up and prepare for your lesson. I’ll give you two hours with the laptop.”
Xavier’s eyes lit up. He quickly sat up and grabbed the laptop she handed him, but his hope faded as he saw it was completely offline.

“Once you finish recording your lesson, I’ll have someone post it on Instagram.” Reina caressed his face and said gently, “If you want to leave, the only way is to listen to me. Okay?”
“I’m not in the mood to prepare anything.er tossed the laptop aside and turned his back to her before saying impatiently, “Now, get OU?”
However, she hugged him tightly from behind. “Alright, no lesson prep. I’ll nap with you

Finally, Xavier gave up struggling. He let her do as she wished and said coldly, “You always said you loved my purity, but I’m no longer pure. I’ve done this with Sarah.”
“What did you say?” Reina froze. Her eyes burned

He knew very well that a woman like Reina, proud and with strong self–esteem, couldn’t stand the thought of her man being intimate with another woman. No matter how much she loved him, she would let him
As expected, Reina released him as though shocked by electricity and stumbled backward a few steps.
Then, suddenly, she pounced on him and snapped, “Who allowed you to sleep with her? You’re my man. You can only sleep with me! You didn’t actually sleep with her, right?”
Her voice quivered so much that she struggled to speak. “Xavier… you didn’t sleep with her, did you? You’re just trying to make me angry.”
“I did ” Xavier unbuttoned his shirt and pointed to the tattoo on his chest. “I got a peach tattoo to commemorate my love with her.”
Reina recoiled like a frightened beast. She raised her hand to cover her eyes as she fled in panic.
For the next few days, Xavier didn’t see her.
After dinner, with nothing else to do, he wandered through the peach orchard.
Reina approached, holding a bouquet of flowers, and said calmly, “I can let go of the past. We can start fresh.”
“I told you I’ve slept with Sarha, and you still won’t let me go?” Xavier’s voice was filled with disbelief. “Don’t forget. You have a cleanliness obsession!”
“I do have a cleanliness obsession, but I don’t despise you… nor do I have any right to.” Reina forced a bitter smile. “As long as you stay with me, I’m willing to compromise on anything for you. I can’t live without you, Xavier. Please, give me a chance to start over.”
