As the fire grew more fierce, the cries for help from within the fire became too weak to be heard clearly.
Calvin let go of my arm and, eager to save people, he rushed into the fire.
I wouldn’t let him have his way.
I purposely stifled a grunt and grabbed his hand, “Calvin, where are you going? My stomach hurts so badly.“}
