Liam’s arms wrapped around me so suddenly that I barely had time to react.
He hugged me as if he had spent an eternity longing for that moment, as if the past year apart had been unbearable for him.
“Amelia,” he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
I shoved him away instantly.
“What are you doing?” I snapped, my grip on Theodore tightening. “Why are you here?”
Liam took a step back, and for the first time, I saw his eyes.
The same piercing blue eyes I had once loved, filled with desperation, regret, and a pain so raw that it made my chest tighten.
But I refused to let myself soften
However, suddenly Liam fell to his knees
“Amelia,” he whispered, his voice breaking. “Please. Forgive me.”
I stared at him in disbelief.
The man who had once thrown me away, at that time was kneeling before me.
“You can beat me,” he choked out. “You can do whatever you want to me. As long as you forgive me, I’m fine with
anything.”
Forgive?
The word burned like poison on my tongue.
“What if I asked you to forget me forever?” I whispered coldly.
Liam’s breath hitched. His entire body shook
“No,” he rasped. His hands curled into fists against the ground. “No, Amelia, please don’t say that.”
His voice cracked, and I saw the way his shoulders trembled.
“I’m sorry I forgot about you. I’m sorry I forgot about Theodore, I was blind, Amelia–I let Evelyn manipulate me.
But I know everything now.”
He looked up, his blue eyes glistening. “So come home with me. Let’s go back together.”
I almost laughed at how absurd it was, but I did not have energy to listen to his reason.
I walked away instead.
But then, his hands clenched over my knees.
“I remembered everything,” he whispered. “I found the scrapbook you left in storage. I read everything. Every moment, every memory, every proof of our life together.”
Tears spilled down his cheeks and for the first time in my life, I saw Liam Carlisle cry.
That was the same man who once believed crying was a weakness, the man who always thought only women should cry
But at that time, he was kneeling in front of me, begging.
“I know I was wrong.” His voice broke. “I know I was stupid. But please, Amelia,” His voice trembled as he looked
up at me, his face twisted in agony. “I can’t lose you. I can’t lose Theodore. You know that, right?”
“If you didn’t want to lose me…” I whispered, voice shaking, “then why didn’t you answer when I told you I would
end my life?”

Forget Me Once, Farewell Forever
Liam’s entire body froze
The room fell into absolute silence, even the front desk worker who had been pretending not to watch the entire
time stilled.
Liam’s lips parted slightly, but no words came out.
“You saw that message,” I hissed. “You saw the photo I sent you. And what did you do, Liam?”
I took a step closer, my body trembling. “You let me die.”
Liam gasped softly, shaking his head. “Amelia, no….”
“You let me die, Liam!” I screamed.
Tears burned down my cheeks, my entire body trembling with rage, with hurt I had buried deep inside me for an entire year.
“Do you know how I felt, standing on that cliff, knowing that the man I loved wouldn’t even look for me? That he would just let me disappear as if I never mattered?”
He opened his mouth again to explain, but I spat, my voice breaking. “So don’t beg me now, because you’re a year
too late, Liam.*
“Amelia, do you know how much I’ve suffered these past few days? As soon as I found out you were still alive, I immediately looked for you,” he continued, stepping closer. “…I just wish I could turn back time. If only I had remembered everything sooner.”
“But what can I do?” His voice cracked. “When I woke up from my coma, Evelyn was already there, whispering my ear, twisting my memories, making me believe her completely.”
I clenched my jaw, my hands curling into fists at my sides.
“She showed me proof,” He exhaled sharply, raking his fingers through his hair. “Even the people at the office saw us as a couple. So, tell me, Amelia, what was I supposed to deny?”
I let out a bitter laugh and sneered, “Are you done defending yourself?” My voice was cold, emotionless.
Liam flinched.
“I’m tired, Liam,” I continued, exhaustion weighing down every word. “So tired of hearing your excuses.”
“You’re not someone who’s easily fooled,” I said through gritted teeth. “But a year ago, you chose to follow Evelyn blindly, to trust her completely, even when you knew you had amnesia.
“The Liam I knew wasn’t someone who would just accept what other people told him. The Liam I knew would
search every corner to find the truth.”
My throat tightened.
“But you a year ago?” I shook my head, my voice trembling with anger. “You weren’t the Liam I knew anymore.”
That was what hurt the most.
Not just that he had forgotten me.
in
Not just that he had pushed me away.
But he had refused to search for the truth.
For me, Liam had thrown everything away a year ago.
ne to me
So, remembering everything could not erase what Liam had done
*Also, did I not tell you not to beg me for forgiveness when you finally remembered?” I whispered. My voice was ice–cold, but my hands trembled.
Liam’s face twisted in pain as he remembered our last quarrel in the restaurant, making only silence that left
between us.

Forget Me Once, Farewel Farver
Seeing that man could not defend himself anymore, I turned on my heel, leaving him there alone.
When I reached the dorm, Theodore suddenly chattered excitedly about his day as if wanting me to understand Liam, to forgive him.
Of course I knew, I remembered all too well how Theodore had always been close to Liam,
Even when he was a baby, he had clung to his father.
Whenever he cried, it was Liam who would pick him up, and Theodore would immediately calm down in his
arms.
But still, I could not forgive Liam just for that reason.
Theodore suddenly hugged me tightly, his tiny arms squeezing around my neck.
“Mommy,” he whispered, his voice soft and innocent. “Please forgive Daddy, okay?”
