He also had heard if Nathaniel was the one who had protected Amelia and their son when they came to the branch hospital.
What was more, according to the hospital gossip, Nathaniel had become Amelia’s lover over the past year.
So, he hated the fact that he had not been the one to save them. He hated the thought of Nathaniel being the man Amelia relied on at that time.
He also felt sick.
If only he had handled Evelyn sooner, none of that would have happened.
Theodore would not have been in danger and I would not have been put through hell.
Furious at Evelyn, Liam’s voice was like ice as he asked, “Where’s the culprit?”
“She’s still in the interrogation room, Sir,” the officer responded.
Liam did not waste another second
The moment Liam stepped into the interrogation room, Evelyn snorted, rolling her eyes. “You’ve come.”
Liam ignored the way his blood boiled at the sight of her
Instead, he turned to the officers and said calmly, “Let me talk to her for a moment.”
The officers exchanged glances but eventually nodded, stepping outside and closing the door behind them.
For a moment, there was silence. But then, Liam’s fist slammed against the table.
“How did you find Amelia?” Liam demanded. “How did you know she was there?”
Evelyn merely sneered, leaning back in her chair. “Do you even have to ask?” she taunted. “Of course, I followed
you.”
Liam’s jaw tightened.
“Don’t act like some hero, Liam,” Evelyn continued, her voice dripping with mockery. “You will always be the
villain.”
Her words struck deep, because the truth, she was not wrong.
Amelia and Theodore never would have suffered if they had never been tied to him.
Evelyn’s smile widened when she saw Liam’s desperate expression.
“Are you finally realizing it now, Liam?” she laughed.

Forget Me Once Farewell Forever
Liam did not respond. His fists were clenched so tightly that his nails were digging into his skin instead.
“You,” Evelyn spat, her voice rising in anger, “should have suffered!”
She slammed her hands against the table, her eyes filled with hatred.
“But no,” she continued, her voice trembling with rage. “Even after I kicked Amelia out–when I thought she was gone–somehow, she survived. Somehow, she came back
“And now, you get her back, just like that?!”
“Why?” Evelyn’s voice broke. “Why can someone like you–someone who ruined everything–just get his happiness back so easily?”
Evelyn let out a bitter, twisted laugh.
“I should have killed them myself,” she hissed. “I was a fool to believe Amelia would actually take her own life.
“You what?!” he growled, his voice dangerously low.
Evelyn leaned in, her eyes wild.
“But you know what?” she whispered, her lips curling into a smirk. “I was a fool. Because I should have killed you
too.”
Liam’s entire body froze as he saw Evelyn’s eyes burned with rage.
Evelyn’s expression shifted, she looked away, her hands gripping the edge of the table.
And in a soft, broken whisper, she finally admitted the truth, “Since you are the one who took everything from me,
Liam.”
Liam’s expression remained unreadable as he watched Evelyn sneered at him.
“Don’t tell me you forgot about it?” she spat. “You are the one who killed Lucas‘ father, Liam!”
“You made my son lose his father before he even had the chance to meet him,” Evelyn hissed. “And now, now you sit here, looking so damn confused, as if none of it ever mattered?”
Her eyes flashed with pure hatred.
“How dare you forget that too, Liam?” she demanded. “Your amnesia, was it real? Or did you just decide to erase. every memory that didn’t matter to you?”
Her hands yanked against the handcuffs securing her to the table, as if she were desperate to slap him.
Liam’s mind raced, and then it clicked.
She talked about that case. The one he had fought against Evelyn in court.
His eyes darkened.
“So it’s true,” he murmured, his voice calm, detached. “The one who committed suicided is your boyfriend.”
Evelyn’s entire body tensed. Then, she snapped.
“How can you ask that with such a flat expression?!” she shrieked, her voice shaking with fury.
Tears replaced her rage, her breath coming out in short, uneven gasps. “You are a heartless man, Liam! You
killed him!”
Liam did not flinch. His voice remained steady as he said, “I didn’t kill him, Evelyn.”
Evelyn’s lip curled in fury, but Liam continued, his voice cold and factual. “It was the judge who decided his
sentence.”
Evelyn slammed her fists onto the table, the metal of her cuffs rattling loudly.
“But you recommended the punishment, Liam!” she screamed. “It was you who pushed for the harshest sentence! You are the reason Lucas‘ father took his own life in that prison cell!”
Liam inhaled sharply. Then, slowly, he shook his head.

Forget Me Doce, Fares
“No, Evelyn.” His voice was steady, unwavering. “Your boyfriend made that decision himself.”
“He chose to end his life because he couldn’t handle the consequences of his own actions,” Liam continued. “He
couldn’t accept losing his job and his freedom. And so, he left this world by his own hand.”
“You…” she whispered, her voice trembling with rage. “You really don’t feel guilty, do you?”
Liam’s face remained impassive.
“You’ve gone too far, Evelyn,” he said simply. “Just because of this. So don’t expect me to be kind to you this
time.”
Liam stood, his chair scraping against the cold floor.
“I will bring your case to court,” he said firmly. “You kidnapped my son. You manipulated my memory. You nearly destroyed my entire family, all because of your obsession with this unreasonable revenge.”

Liam turned away, his fingers gripping the doorknob,
But just as he was about to leave, Evelyn laughed in agony, one that sent a sharp unease down Liam’s spine.
“Liam,” she called out, her voice twisted with amusement. “You think that after you’imprison me, you’ll be able to live in peace?” she asked.
Liam slowly turned his head, his expression hard.
Evelyn grinned, her lips curling in malicious delight.
“No, Liam.” She shook her head. “You won’t.”
Liam’s fingers tightened on the doorknob.
“The person who hit you that night,” Evelyn whispered, her eyes gleaming. “It was one of the many people you’ve hurt over the years
“One by one…” Evelyn exhaled, her voice almost giddy. “They’ll come for you. They’ll hurt you, just like I did. And one day, they’ll take everything from you, just like you took everything from me.”
Evelyn leaned forward, her eyes glinting in the dim interrogation room light.
“What you call unreasonable,” she whispered, “has ruined many people, Liam. And you will pay the price. Mark my words.”
