Startled, I turned my head too quickly and our lips brushed against each other.
My breath caught in my throat, my eyes widening in shock.
Liam, on the other hand, did not seem the least bit surprised. In fact, he looked…. amused.
Before I could fully pull away, his hand moved to the back of my neck, holding me in place.
He deepened the kiss, slow and deliberate, as if savoring the moment he had been waiting for,
I barely had time to process what was happening before he finally let me go, allowing me to breathe again!
His lips curled into a teasing smirk. “I will wait for you patiently in City A.
Then, without another word, he turned and walked back to the tent to finish packing the rest of our things.
I stood frozen, my fingers unconsciously tracing my lips.
‘When was the last time we kissed? I wondered. “When was the last time we made love?‘
The thought made my cheeks burn, and in frustration, I lightly slapped them.
“Get it together, Amelia! Since when did you let your hormones win like this?!” I scolded myself.
The day finally arrived for my return to City A.

Forget Me Once Fanned Forever
To mark the occasion, we held a farewell gathering at a cozy restaurant with the nurses and doctors I had worked with for the past three years.
Nathaniel, along with a few others, had chosen to stay at the branch hospital. Meanwhile, half of us were returning to the main hospital. New staff would be arriving the following day to replace those leaving.
Since those staying behind still had responsibilities, we could not extend the gathering for too long.
As we prepared to leave, I decided to have a private moment with Nathaniel outside the restaurant
“Nath…” I turned to him, my voice soft
He turned to face me, his usual calm expression in place. “Hm?”
“Thank you… for everything. For these three years.”
Nathaniel exhaled slowly, then gave me a small, almost wistful smile. “Sure. Just… please don’t ever cry over that man again, okay?” His tone was light, but there was something raw beneath it. “Because next time, I won’t be there to stop your tears.”
I let out a quiet laugh, though my chest felt tight.
“I’m sorry,” I said after a pause.
“For what?”
“For… not being able to accept your love.”
Nathaniel stared at me for a long moment before shaking his head. “Don’t be,” he said gently. “Just follow your

him.
At that moment, Liam’s car pulled up in front of us.
Theodore excitedly rolled down the window and waved. “Uncle!”
Nathaniel’s face softened as he walked over to Theodore, ruffling his hair before exchanging a few words with
And just like that, our farewell was sealed.
Not with grand goodbyes, but with quiet understanding.
After returning to the city, the first place we went was our house–the very place where Evelyn had kicked me out three years ago.
Standing before it, I hesitated for a brief moment, memories rushing back like a tidal wave.
But as Theodore eagerly tugged on my hand, his excitement radiating, I took a deep breath and stepped inside. To my surprise, the house had barely changed on the outside. But once I walked through the doors, the interior was completely different.
Gone were the cold, empty spaces that once held only painful memories. Instead, warmth filled the air–every corner reflecting the love and care that had been poured into rebuilding our home.
Especially Theodore’s room.
“Mom, look!” Theodore shouted excitedly as he pulled me toward his room.
As I stepped inside, I was taken aback. The walls were adorned with his favorite colors, shelves filled with books, toys, and little trinkets.
A cozy bed sat in the middle, decorated with soft blankets, while glow–in–the–dark stars covered the ceiling. “You made all of this yourself, Theo?” I asked, genuinely amazed.
He beamed with pride. “Yes, Mom! I love it here.”
I smiled, brushing a hand over his soft hair. “It’s perfect.”
His excitement did not stop there.

Forget Me On Farewell Forever
O
His excitement did not stop there.
“Oh, Mom, look at this too!”
He ran toward the next room, opening the door to reveal a special space–one entirely dedicated to studying and playing.
It was bright and colorful, a perfect little haven designed just for him.
But what caught my attention the most was the room beyond it–the observatory.

The telescope stood in the center, surrounded by books and constellations drawn on the
It had been completely transformed.
“Theodore helped me arrange it,” Liam’s voice came from behind, his tone filled with quiet amusement
I turned, watching as he leaned casually against the doorframe, his gaze soft as he took in my reaction
“I also put my workspace right in the middle of Theodore’s study room and your observatory,” he continued, his blue eyes glinting with something unreadable. “That way, I’m always nearby if either of you needs me.”
I chuckled, shaking my head. “You act like we’d let you work in peace.”
Liam smirked. “I’m counting on it.”
Then, with a thoughtful expression, he added, “If you need anything else to decorate the space, just let me know. Maybe a library? A computer room? Whatever you want.”
I tilted my head, pretending to think.
“How about a connecting door?”
Liam raised a brow. “To my study?”
I nodded.
He grinned. “Sure, why not?”
Then, in his typical fashion, he leaned in, clearly intending to steal a kiss.
I stopped him with a firm palm to his face.
“Later,” I whispered, nodding toward Theodore, who was still watching us curiously.
Liam sighed dramatically but stepped back. “Fine. I’ll be patient. For now.”
Suppressing my laughter, I turned back to Theodore. “Do you want to try looking at the sky tonight?”
“Yes! Yes!” Theodore jumped up and down excitedly.
I smiled, feeling a warmth in my chest I had not felt in a long time.
Maybe, just maybe, that was truly home again.
A month later, Liam and I stood before
There was no more secrecy, no more hiding. We were husband and wife, and that time, the world would know it.
Liam’s colleagues, my fellow doctors, even Nathaniel–all had gathered to celebrate with us.
our family and friends, renewing our vows in an intimate ceremony.
As the evening settled into laughter and joy, Liam, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, turned to Nathanie
“If you want,” Liam teased, “I can find the perfect woman for you.”
Nathaniel did not even blink before delivering a hard slap to Liam’s back.
“No need,” he shot back. Then, with a pointed smirk, he added, “But if you do mess up again, Liam, I will marry Amelia myself. No other chances.”
The tension crackled between them, a silent challenge passing through their sharp gazes.
Then, without warning, both men clinked their glasses together and burst into laughter.
I shook my head, watching them with a fond smile.

Forget Me One Farewel Forever
That time, as Liam pulled me into his arms, pressing a soft kiss against my forehead, I knew.
We had been broken before, even shattered.
But as we embraced our second chance, our love had become something even stronger–an unbreakable bond,
And with Theodore as our guiding light, we stepped forward together, into a future filled with nothing but warmth, love, and the promise of forever.
