“You‘ re cruel, Freya! How could you do this to her, huh? Don’t you realize
she‘ s…” Lucian’s words trailed off as
he struggled to help Vlanche up while she continued choking and gasping dramatically.
I kept eating, calmly watching their little performance like it was theater meant solely for my amusement.
“Trust me, I didn’t know she’d be crashing our dinner,” I replied in a bored tone, lifting a piece of bread to my mouth. My nonchalance only seemed to enrage Lucian further.
His glare burned into me, but I didn’t
care.
“You‘ re pissing me off, Freya!” he snapped, lifting Vlanche into his arms. “Why can’t you just have a proper conversation with me for once?”

“Maybe because you‘ re always too busy entertaining your beta,” I said, my tone cutting, as I watched him hiss for the healers.
A healer rushed in, her face a mixture of concern and confusion, quickly tending to Vlanche, who whimpered pitifully in Lucian s arms.
For a brief moment, I wished she’d just eaten her own poison. It would’ve saved us all the theatrics.
I shrugged, still chewing as the Omegas looked on, their faces frozen in shock. Even so, they didn’t say a word–out of respect for me or fear of the Alpha, I didn’t know or care.
Later that evening, a messenger knocked on my door.
“The Elders have summoned you,” he said, his voice low and reverent.
I nodded, following him to the hall where Elder Thorne awaited me. His presence

was like a shadow, heavy and unyielding.
“You know the consequences of severing a sacred bond, don‘ t you?” he asked, his voice cold and measured. His piercing gaze searched my face for hesitation.
I inhaled deeply, steadying myself. “I know,” I said quietly.
“Are you truly ready to leave the pack?” he pressed, his voice softening ever so slightly.
The weight of the question sank into my chest. It wasn’t an easy decision–this had been my home, my pack. But it wasn’t mine anymore, not truly.
“There’s no reason for me to stay,” I finally said, my voice firm despite the ache in my heart. “Just as I’ve already told you.”
Elder Thorne sighed, his breath heavy with disappointment or maybe understanding.
The room felt colder, and whispers from

Elder Thorne nodded slowly, his expression unreadable. “Very well. The severance will take place tomorrow at dawn. Prepare yourself, Freya. You will not be the same after this.”
“I’m counting on it,” I said, my voice. unwavering, though a storm raged inside.
- me.
As I turned to leave, another Elder spoke, his voice laced with caution. “Be vigilant, Freya. A broken bond can awaken dormant powers. And not all of them are easy to control.”
But that consequences can only hurt Lucian because he’s weak and cutting our bond will sever and will break his wolf‘ s
heart. Emotionally and physically, he will gets weak.
At dawn, the ritual began. Elder Thorne chanted the ancient words, his voice

resonating with the power of the moon itself. My wolf growled low in my chest, resisting at first, but I forced her to submit.
When the final words were spoken, the bond snapped.
A searing pain shot through me, and my wolf howled in anguish, but the agony was fleeting. My wolf was strong–stronger than I’d realized. I stood tall, my breathing steady, even as I felt the faint echo of Lucian‘ s howl in the distance.
He had felt it. The moment he lost me, the moment he realized he could no longer reach me through our bond.
But I knew the bond wasn’t completely gone. If he didn’t accept the severance, if he refused to let me go, he would still be able to follow my scent. He would still chase me. But he would never hold the power I had–he would never break me again.
After that day, I stared at the ultrasound

photo, my fingers tracing the edges of the medical report. My wolf whimpered deep within me, her pain mingling with mine. An unborn pup–our pup–lost before it could take its first breath.
The severance agreement lay on the table, signed and final. I placed the medical records beside it, ensuring they would be the first thing Lucian saw. He needed to know what he‘ d driven me to. What his betrayal had cost us.
My wolf stirred restlessly, her anger simmering. She wanted to run, to howl, to unleash her fury, but I kept her leashed.
“This isn‘ t our home anymore, I murmured to her. “We don’t belong here.”
And I’m packing all of the things with me, already preparing.
And today I’m gonna leave, and he
didn’t just lost his Luna, and his baby. But he lost his hope for success.

Lucian’s heart clenched with an overwhelming sense of panic.
“Freya? My Luna? Are you here?” His voice echoed through the empty halls of the packhouse, filled with desperation.
By the time he reached the room, I was already gone, my scent faint but lingering.
His sharp gaze landed on the documents I left on the table. Seeing the severance agreement, he let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding. For a moment, he thought I was just upset–another quarrel that would pass like the others.
But then his eyes caught the next page: a photo of an unborn pup.
The medical records documenting the miscarriage.
Lucian’s hands began to tremble, his usually confident composure shattering. The Alpha of the Crimson Moon Pack–the wolf who feared nothing–sank to his knees, the weight of the truth suffocating
