Vlanche gasped as soon as she saw him. “Alpha Darian…” she murmured, her voice shaky. “Whatever this girl is lying about, it’s all a lie! She even tried to kill me with wolfsbane-”
Darian‘ s icy gaze fixed on her, cutting her off mid–sentence. “Nothing about you matters to me,” he said bluntly. “I don‘ t know you, and frankly, I don’t care whether you live or die.”
I gasped softly at his words, barely concealing the smirk tugging at my lips. Vlanche turned to me, her face red with fury.
“You dare laugh, you little rogue-”
Before she could finish, Darian
interrupted, his voice low and cold. “How are you calling her names like that?
You‘ re the rogue here. After Lucian‘ s pack crumbled, you latched onto his

desperation like a parasite. And now? You’ve been reduced to a weak wolf in a small, insignificant pack. You have no place here.”
The sharpness of his words hit Vlanche like
a slap, and her cheeks burned crimson. She blinked rapidly, tears threatening to spill as she struggled to defend herself.
“That’s not the truth!” she stammered, licking her lips as though trying to piece together a justification. But before she could say more, Lucian appeared, wearing a hoodie that did little to conceal his
presence.
“I can’t believe you‘ re still here, Freya,” he snarled, his voice dripping with
venom.
I met his glare with steady eyes. “Well, you can’t take me out of here, Lucian.”
“Come with me!” he demanded, his tone turning obsessive as he reached out and grabbed my hand.

Before I could react, Darian stepped forward, shoving Lucian back with enough force to make him stumble. “Don‘ t touch her,” Darian growled, his wolf barely restrained.
The tension in the hallway thickened, but it was shattered by a voice that echoed
through the room, amplified by the microphone.
“I want to thank you all…” The voice was strong and commanding, instantly silencing the crowd. “And before we proceed with the feast, I would like to
introduce my daughter to you all after such a long time.”
The familiar voice sent a shiver down my spine. My father.
Vlanche let out a harsh laugh, her face twisting into a sneer. “Give it up, Freya. Do you really want to humiliate yourself during such a sacred announcement?” she hissed, her jaw clenched. “You‘ ve ruined everything–with your lies to the

“Freya Stormhood. Come here, baby,” my father’s voice boomed, cutting through her venomous tirade.
The air seemed to freeze. Lucian’s face
drained of color, his eyes wide in disbelief. Vlanche’s smirk vanished instantly, replaced by pure shock as she turned to gape at me.
“Let me take your hand, Miss Freya Stormhood,” Alpha Darian said, his voice smooth and commanding.
I smiled graciously, placing my hand in his without hesitation. The simple gesture was enough to draw the attention of everyone. in the room, a subtle but deliberate display of Lucian and Vlanche‘ s irrelevance.

“My daughter,” my father began, hist voice resonating through the hall, “the future hope of our lineage, carrying the rare and powerful blood of an Alpha.” His words were filled with pride, drawing murmurs of admiration from the crowd.
“In just days since her return,” he continued, “she has strengthened our alliances and brought great developments. to our pack. She has shown everyone how rare and extraordinary it is to carry the blood of the Stormhoods.”
The room erupted into applause, the sound thunderous. Boone, standing at the edge of the crowd, smirked as our eyes briefly met, his expression filled with quiet approval.
The moment was perfect–until Lucian‘ s voice shattered the harmony.

“This couldn’t be…” he murmured, his words carrying across the now–silent room.
Every head turned, and I lowered my gaze to him, my tone feigning innocence as I spoke. “Lucian?”

“This is fake!” Lucian burst out, his voice. trembling with desperation. “There‘ s no way my Luna is a Stormhood!”
Lucian’s words echoed in the grand hall, silencing the murmurs and the applause. His face, pale and taut, betrayed his disbelief. Vlanche clung to his arm, trembling, her lips quivering with unspoken protest.
“My Luna?” I repeated softly, tilting my head, a cold smile curling my lips. The audacity of his claim was almost laughable. “Lucian, you must be mistaken. I don’t

The crowd stirred uneasily, whispers flowing like a restless tide. Boone leaned against a pillar, arms crossed, his smirk deepening as he watched Lucian unravel.
“You-!” Lucian stepped forward, pointing a trembling finger at me. “You‘ ve tricked them all! This–this is a scheme! You can’t

“That’s right,” my father said, his voice, cold and commanding, silencing any remaining murmurs in the room. “I don’t recall your name, small Alpha. So I suggest you stop this futile attempt to claim my daughter. No one as low as you could ever have her as their Luna.”
