Chapter 2
My son pressed my bloody wound to the ground and forced me to kneel down and apologize to her.”
But what did I actually do wrong?
What was wrong with me calling on my husband to save me?!
He was the one who chose to save me, why was he blaming me for Myrna’s death?
The intense pain interrupted my resentment. Franklin raised the wooden stick with bloodshot eyes and hit me again and again.”
“You obviously know how to swim, Jenna, you deliberately called me away, causing her to die tragically in the sea.
“Did you plan this shipwreck long ago to send her to her death?”
Oliver glared at me angrily and handed a knife to Franklin, “Dad, go and avenge Aunt Myrna.”
Franklin held a knife, raised a bloodthirsty smile and approached me step by step.
I begged him to let me go for the sake of our five years of relationship.
But Franklin was not moved at all. He raised the blade high and said, “You made me lose the person I love the most. Now, I will let you experience this feeling too.”
As I wailed heart–wrenchingly, he used a blunt knife to cut open my belly inch by inch and the blade crushed my fully formed baby.”
Finally, they pushed me into the sea and drowned me.
If I could live my life over again, I thought I would avoid making the same mistake if I did not ask him for help.
I did not expect that he would be so heartless as to ask his teammates to give up on saving me.”
The Deputy Captain looked at me worriedly. He wanted to swim over to save me, but was stopped by Franklin.}
My lower abdomen was aching and blood was spreading in the sea.
There were huge waves on the sea, I relaxed my strength and let myself fall into the deep sea.
At that moment, I met the astonished eyes of Franklin and my son and said word by word, “Goodbye, I hope I never see you again.“}
I released my hands that were protecting my lower abdomen and let myself sink into the freezing cold sea.
The sharp stone scratched my head and mixed with the blood from my lower body.
The sea water engulfed my hearing and there was silence all around.
Across the blood–red sea, I caught a glimpse of Franklin carefully protecting Myrna as she climbed onto the lifeboat and my son anxiously stretched out his little hand towards them.
But the Deputy Captain, with an angry face, stopped them.
I tried hard to make out what was going on, but could only hear the faint sounds of an argument.”
The Deputy Captain angrily scolded them, “Are you still human? Your wife and children are drowning and you are only concerned with saving your first love.”
“And you, your mother are about to die and you still have the mind to others?!”

But Franklin’s eyes were bloodshot as he responded, “Shut up! Myrna just choked on water. So, I should let the doctor take a look. After all, she’s an opera singer, what if she has sequelae?”
“As for Jenna,” Franklin looked at the Deputy Captain provocatively with sarcasm on his face. “You also said that she is my wife. What does it have to do with you whether I save her or not?
“Or are you having an affair with her? No wonder you feel so sorry for her.”
“She’s not my mother!” Oliver roared, “Only Aunt Myrna is qualified to be my mother.”
Even though I already knew how heartless they were to me, my heart still ached uncontrollably when I heard their cold–blooded words. The Deputy Captain was so angry that his veins popped out. He insisted on going into the water to save me, but Franklin’s eyes were gloomy and he warned me coldly, “Noble, don’t forget, you are my subordinate, I have the right to decide whether you stay or go.” “Your mother is lying in the hospital bed waiting for your life–saving money. Are you sure you still want to get involved in this matter?“} Noble clenched his fists, lowered his head dejectedly and made way.
Franklin glanced at me with disdain and gave me a sarcastic smile.
Before leaving, he bumped into Noble Compton’s shoulder and spoke with sympathy.}]
