Chapter 4
In my previous life, I was tortured by them to the point of nearly going crazy. I was thinking of going out to sea to relax, but I happened to run into Myrna.
I really did not expect that just because of a cry for help, they sentenced me and the baby in my belly to death.”
For Myrna, they were so cruel.§
After dying once did I realize clearly that my husband and son had never really loved me.”
Fortunately, I had a new life, so let’s just end everything here.§
When I opened my eyes again, I was lying in the ICU with a heavy ventilator hanging on my face.
Seeing me open my eyes, the nurse was ecstatic. “You have three broken ribs, a skull fracture and massive abdominal bleeding. It’s a miracle that you’re still alive.“}
My consciousness gradually became clear as she spoke and severe pain instantly swept through my body.
Until I was discharged from the hospital a month later, Franklin and Oliver never came to visit me once.
My father–in–law and mother–in–law called Franklin countless times, but he thought it was just a lie carefully fabricated by me and his
arents
Franklin would only scold, “Jenna, are you disgusting? Not only did you scheme against me, but you even dragged my parents into this. You really have no shame!“}
While my son yelled as usual, “My father and I have important things to do. We don’t have time to fool around with you! How could I have such a shameful mother like you!“}
The so–called important thing in their mouths was to accompany Myrna to various performances and use the entire Dorsey Group to build momentum for her.
The time I was discharged from the hospital, the doctor said that I had been drowning in the sea for too long and my throat was permanently damaged. I would never be able to sing again in my life.
Franklin’s mother immediately fainted in Franklin’s father’s arms.
However, I calmly accepted this fact and tried to comfort them instead.
“It’s okay, the fact that I’m still alive is enough for me.“@
Fortunately, unlike my previous life where I was tormented and ultimately killed by Franklin and my own son, this time–I was still alive, still breathing and still standing.}
To find peace of mind, I held a funeral for my unborn child.
That day, I sent a message to Franklin. [The baby is dead. The doctor said it was a fully formed female fetus. Come see her for the last time and sign the divorce agreement while you’re at it.]}
Many people came to the funeral, but Franklin and Oliver did not arrive until it was almost over.
One had a beaming look on her face, with an ambiguous kiss mark on her neck, while the other held her little face high with a bright smile.
There was no sadness at all between the father and son.
Everyone present cast condemning glances at them.>
Franklin did not care at all. He glanced at my sagging belly, his tone full of pride as he barked, “You’ve all been fooled by this crazy woman!
“Myrna had someone check her medical records a long time ago and this liar didn’t have a miscarriage at all. She only had some minor bruises and all of this was just an act to win favor.“>
Oliver glared at me angrily and snapped, “How can you be so shameless?! Just because you are jealous, you can actually curse your own child to death. From now on, I will pretend that you aren’t my mother.”
“You all heard it. You should leave now. Don’t let this bitch cheat you out of your gift money. You won’t even have anywhere to cry,” Franklin
added.
Their tone was excited, as if they really had something on
me.”
My mother–in–law and father–in–law stepped forward to dissuade them, but were pushed away by Franklin, who glanced at me mockingly. “Mom, Dad, you are such a fool if you still believe this lunatic’s lies. Don’t you think she’s embarrassing enough? If it weren’t for her, there’s no way Myrna and I would be separated.”
“Frank, that’s enough!” I interrupted the farce loudly, then threw the medical records and divorce agreement in his face. “Are these proofs enough?”
After seeing the words clearly, Oliver opened his mouth in surprise and was immediately speechless.}
Franklin was stunned for a moment, then sneered, “You are a habitual liar. In order to frame Myrna, you would definitely forge documents. Why should I believe you?“}
I completely lost the desire to argue with him.)
In front of everyone, I lifted up my shirt, revealing my belly covered with hideous scars.
“Did you see clearly? Our child is gone!”
