The old lady froze in surprise. “Then what do you want?” she asked anxiously.
I smiled. “I just want to ask if you still stand by what you said about converting those shares into cash.”
Elizabeth visibly relaxed. “Of course! I keep my word. You’re carrying the future of the Sutherlands, what’s rightfully yours, you’ll get.”
A glint of calculation flashed in my eyes. “Then let’s sign an agreement. Cash out the shares now.“>
After all, I wanted Jackson’s shares turned into money. What if she found out he had woken up and decided to take it back?!
I needed her confirmation before she had a chance to change her mind.
The old lady hesitated. “Girl, aren’t you rushing this a little? You just found out you’re pregnant.“}
I softened my tone like I was pleading, but my words didn’t back down. “I’m alone overseas, pregnant. Don’t you think I deserve some security? I’ll sign an agreement, guarantee the baby will be born into the Sutherlands and take the Jameson name, but the money needs to come first.“@
There was a long pause. Finally, she sighed. “Alright. I’ll have someone draw up the agreement. I’ll cash out the shares for you.”
“Thank you, Elizabeth.” I smiled, lightly tapping my fingers on the wall. My voice drifted lazily. “Oh, one more thing.“”
“Hm?” She was still caught up in the joy of becoming a great–grandmother.
“Jackson … woke up.“}
Silence. Like the signal had suddenly cut out.
“Who did you say?” Her voice trembled slightly, like she couldn’t believe it.
“Jackson. He just opened his eyes.“}]
A loud crash echoed from the other end, followed by someone falling and a servant’s panicked cry, “Ma’am, are you alright?“}
Half a minute later, the call picked up again. Her voice was choked and full of disbelief. “Did you just say Jackson … woke up?“} “Yes. The doctor’s already done a preliminary check. He’s conscious and there don’t seem to be any major issues.” I paused deliberately. “You’re not planning to return on the shares now, right?“>
It was like i stabbed her with a knife. She immediately snapped, “What nonsense are you talking about? Heaven has finally answered our prayers; my grandson’s awake and you’re carrying his child. You’re the Sutherlands savior!“}
I chuckled softly, one hand resting on my belly. “Then please hurry with the money. The baby can’t wait.”
She was nearly crying. “Alright, alright. I’ll transfer it immediately. Five billion will hit your account soon. I’ll sign the share agreement, too. Everything else can wait. Where’s Jackson? I’m flying over right now!“>
That night, the entire Sutherland Family was thrown into chaos.}
The news shot back like wildfire. It spread like a storm and everyone heard it. Even Justin, who had been drowning in grief since the funeral, was shaken awake.
When his assistant gave him the report, he was home, drinking in a stupor. “Sir, your brother is awake.“}
“My brother?” Justin blinked, thinking he was hallucinating.
“Yes, and his wife is pregnant.”
Justin frowned. “Sister–in–law? Since when was my brother married?”
“The old lady brought the young woman from overseas the other day. She had them sign a marriage agreement. She’s pregnant now.“}
Justin looked like someone had shoved a bomb into his head.
“We’ve never even seen that woman, right?”
“Yes.”
The Sutherlands‘ eldest son had awakened. Their eldest grandson was on the way.}

So, by the next morning, nearly all direct members of the Sutherlands, including Justin, boarded a private jet to fly overseas.
