I couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath as my stomach twisted violently.
Blood flowed along the blade, soaking through his white shirt, dyeing the collar crimson instantly.

I froze. The sight of the man’s chest before me, the vibrant red of the bloodstains mirroring his past obsession with me, completely overwhelmed my vision.”
“Francesca.” One word was carved deep, down to the bone. The sight of torn flesh and blood was enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.”
“I… ” Justin gasped as he gripped the hem of my dress with a bloody hand. There was a mix of despair and pleading in his voice. “I’ve cut open my heart for you. Can you believe me now?“>
I turned away and said coldly, “Justin, you disgust me.”>
He actually smiled with satisfaction, revealing a mouthful of bloody teeth so white that it was creepy. “Disgusting is good. It’s better than … forgetting me.”
The medical staff finally rushed in, quickly starting to administer aid.
I stood in the chaos, watching as a bag of blood was hung on a stand and as he was lifted onto a stretcher. Even then, he stubbornly reached out with his blood–soaked hand, trying to grab me, trying to keep me.
I took a deep breath and turned to walk back into the hospital.}
What I was about to do might be the most resolute decision ever.
“Jackson.” I stood in front of him. My voice was choked with emotion, but there was no hesitation. “Let’s get married. Right now. Let’s have the wedding today.“}
Jackson blinked in surprise, clearly not expecting this, but a soft smile quickly spread across his face.}
He looked at me, his gaze filled with warmth and a trace of affectionate disbelief.
“Alright.” He answered gently, eyes shimmering with love. “I never imagined it’d happen this fast. But as long as you want it, I’m ready anytime.“}
He reached into his pocket, pulled out a ring and held it to me. In his eyes was a mix of guilt and joy.
“I was actually waiting for the perfect moment. I’d made so many plans. But I didn’t expect you’d be the one to ask first.”
With tears brimming, I took the ring and smiled despite myself. My eyes glistened with unshed tears.
“All I want is a quiet, steady life,” I whispered.}
It felt like all the past had been washed away at that moment. I finally found the warmth I hadn’t felt in so long in Jackson’s arms.
I once thought I would forever live in the shadows of the past, yet the peace and care he brought me allowed me to believe again that love could be so simple.
As for Justin, the man who once had all of me, I no longer felt anything for his love.
Although he had said “I love you” countless times, even willing to give everything fokme, the hurt he inflicted had made one thing clear. Love was not about constraint and harm but mutual respect and companionship.}

We didn’t have extravagant preparations or elaborate ceremonies.
Because Jackson knew that what I wanted wasn’t a grand spectacle but a genuine commitment.
Justin stood below the stage. He had rushed over from the hospital but still hadn’t made it in time to stop the wedding.
He watched me in a wedding dress, standing beside Jackson. The two of us held each other tightly and shared a kiss.
He stood there like he’d been struck by lightning, frozen in place.”

He slowly squatted down. His vision blurred, his body leaned forward weakly and he finally collapsed to the ground. Luckily, several people rushed to support him.
In his hazy consciousness, he realized he had never given me a sincere wedding.

I turned around and walked towards a new life with Jackson.
